Favorite Candy?

Like Tree12Likes

I cannot get candy off the brain. It seems like everyone on FB is posting pictures or talking about Cadbury's Milk Chocolate Mini Eggs. I placed an order for Sugarpova Flirty Gummy candy and they haven't come in yet. I have such a craving for them too. I have See's candies hidden at home for Easter so I can't touch those. I have such a sweet tooth right now. I NEED some candy!

What is your favorite candy?

My all time fave chocolate bar, tho, is probably Ireland's Crunchie. And Ireland/Engliand's Cadbury Flake is great, too, in ice cream.

Cherry Twizzler bites are tasty.

Omg, I have such a sweet tooth and could talk about this for ages.

Liquorice - I LOVE liquorice, I bought some (very cheap) liquorice fudge at IKEA the other week and it was fantastic, I must get more. Fazer Salmiakki pastilles and Lakritz mint mentos are some of my favorites from the salted liquorice category, I would love to try more.

There is a store in the UK called Hotel Chocolat and imo they make the best chocolate. I love the supermilk with whole hazelnuts chocolate bar (reduced sugar and increased cocoa), it is possibly my favourite chocolate bar. I usually get a horrible feeling of emptiness in my stomach when I eat processed sugar but I don't get that when I eat this bar . They also make fantastic caramels, proper ones that actually taste of something other than just generic sweetness. I used to think caramel was boring until I found them.

Lemon Heads - When I went to America a few years ago I got a big box of these and loved them, they are the perfect lemon candy in my opinion. Very zesty and tart but sweet at the same time.

Mango Hi-Chews are also really really fantastic.

By the way cadburys mini eggs are lovely, and very pretty too. They make great easter cupcake decorations.

If I had to pick one thing it would be fudge, but not the overly creamy cheap kind, it has to be the good stuff. There's a shop in the Lake District (UK) called the Old Friary (I think) and it has the best fudge ever.
Sherbert of any kind is good.
Love Revels and eat bags and bags when I'm back in the UK, they're v. expensive here, so a rare treat.
The above mentioned mini eggs - have some of them and some creme eggs hidden in the cupboard for Easter.
Lion's midget gems, which are the one thing with gelatine that I eat. I know I shouldn't but I can't help it.

I hate the blue raspberry powder. I will eat the stick. It reminds me of Candy Cigarettes. I was allowed to get those and Big League Chew from time to time. I love anything green apple from chewy to hard candy. In fact I have green apple Big League Chew on my coffee table at home. I was feeling nostaligic last week. That and cherry are my favorite flavors. I will always love Sweet Tarts and Now & Later. Those (along with Nerds) were currency on my elementary school play ground. I'll also second Cow Tails and I am a lover of chocolate. I eat it more than anythig else.

Really good Salt Water Taffy is a rare and special treat.

Hate CCE's with a passion. I never liked those or Peeps.

Can anyone explain Wax Lips? I never understood wax candy. It is horrible and as a comedian I once heard on the matter said (pardon)... Who wants to **** candles for a week?

I had to share this after I mentioned the Fun Dip of my youth, which was actually called Lik-M-Aid. I called it Lik-A-Mah-Nade when I was a little girl. The early 70's thru mid 80's three pack is what I remember from the early 80's, and loved. I have very fond memories walking to the fruit & vegetable stand/candy store across from my house just to buy it. I had to cross 4 lanes of mild highway traffic at that time, with my brothers holding my hands. You could not do it now without risking death due to the traffic increase.

Fun Dip and Lik-M-Aid – A powdery-sugar-filled retrospective. | CollectingCandy.com

*I feel bad for the 90's kids that never got to try Fun Dip due to dye allergies, which I never heard of until the 90's. "Kyah can't have red dye #7. It makes him hyper." Hyper was a bad, bad word then and I still have no idea why. That's the point. It's sugary crack.

I also wanted to add Dutch Chocolate. I have no idea what kind it was. A friend brought it back from a trip. I remember kids and windmills on the wrapper. So lovely! I also tried violet mints from France that were pretty strange and a bit like eating perfume. Interesting.

My Sugarpova candy finally came in last night. Yum! I got my husband and son hooked on them too. Flirty is the best. Quirky is good too. Those are the only two I've tried. My son had Sour Smitten and said it was okay. All 3 of us love Flirty.
