What would you do...
I decided to start a new business venture, mostly tshirts (well that's the easy way to explain it).

Relative A: told me that my designs were horrible. and then complained about the company I used. he decided to order shirts from the same company. Complained about them now stop. I bought a heat press, he bought the same exact one. I bought an expensive printer, he bought the same one. I get calls/texts every day with him asking me where I get my materials from, how to use the equipment, what websites I go to, on and on. and at every turn he complains

Relative B: also ordered shirts from the original company. I took his shirts to my shows to sell them, but when he went to sell he didn't take mine. and then when i got my equipment, bought shirts (no he didn't ask me if I wanted anything) and started showing up at my house unannounced to use my equipment and make his own product

Relative C: she has now expressed interest in starting a shirt business

Friend of relative C: now wants to start a shirt business with C

Friend D, now wants to start a shirt business

Relative E: today, declared that she knows how much I spend on shirts and prints, and that she will pay me that exact about and then use my equipment as she now has customers lined up. If need be she will rent time (something I did not offer but she decided that was my "cut".

Am i wrong to be mad? How should I deal with all these people?

I get it. It's shirts. Lots of people make shirts. but I am wrong fro wanting to start a business and not have to personally hand deliver all the info/material/equipment others need to be direct competition?

I think you should not be so forthcoming with your knowledge. At least, not all of it.

If they have general questions, go ahead and answer. But when it gets down to specifics, you should tell them that you'd rather keep that stuff private.

They'll be mad, but who cares? They're just looking out for themselves, and I doubt they would do the same for you.

i agree with Rimi - tell them you're not comfortable discussing your business with family members.

and plaster a big smile on your face while you do it!

Oh my gosh!! Your relatives are taking advantage of you! I am an online marketer. I've had plenty of people want me to show them "what I do" so I take my time and effort and show them and guess what? Only one relative even tried to do it at all, and she did a horrible job. No one else even did anything. Why am I wasting my time? Everybody always seems to want to do the same thing we do and that's fine. But tell them they are 'on their own'.

I think you need to tell your relatives that you have a rule to not mix family/friends and business and don't allow even one of them to "crash" your business for any reason. I have heard dozens and dozens and dozens of stories from fellow marketers about HUGELY successful T-Shirt sales. I think you're on to something big.

I'm definitely a "curly" 2c. Sometimes curly and sometimes just wavy upper layer with a ringlety under layer. My hair has been thick and coarse since birth. Strawberry blonde in color that can and does change depending on the type and amount of light.

All in all, I'm happy with my hair type but almost for sure think yours is prettier.

Wow, Scrills, what a bunch of freeloading creeps! You have every right to be annoyed and disgusted with your relatives' behavior.

I agree with everything the other posters said and as Angela put it - your relatives are taking advantage of you.

People are so nervy. What have they done for you in return for all the information and help you have given them?

What an uncomfortable position to be put in, Scrills. I'd figure out a sentence or two that are easy to remember and when people ask/assume/etc. Just state your pre arranged sentence. Could be something as suggested above or something funny, whatever. Just be clear that there are no free rides ("I'm sorry, I'm not letting others use my equipment any longer", "oh no, I did a ton of research and put in a lot of time to make my contacts, I'm not giving that information away")

They'll be mad.
But boundaries aren't about making others happy, they're about creating a space where you can operate happily and with integrity.

I agree with everyone above - you're not obligated to share this information with them.

If they want to order shirts from you, I'd give them a family/friends discount, but that's it.

I wouldn't sell someone else's shirts unless there is a clear agreement that they do the same for you.

Thanks ladies. I felt like i was tripping. I got into a fight with one earlier this week because I couldn't take all the complaining anymore.

I will come up with something. I come from a family of family businesses and one of these people helps with that so that line wont work but I will come u0 with something.

People were making me feel like i was being selfish or over thinking and i juat needed outside opinions

It's one thing that they want to copy you but asking you for all the information and then one of them wanting to use your equipment?? And if need be? So she thought she could use your stuff for free? and pay you the exact amount even though you are the one doing the work buying them? O hell no.
1) I came up with a price that I charge them per shirt

2) I have a new resource that I'm not sharing
