Daniel Day-Lewis... oh wow... between him and Viggo in this thread, I may need to lie down for the rest of the day... feeling faint...

Long hair is nasty. I accept only short or shaved.

Out of curiosity, do you mean in general or just on men?
It's funny, the older I've gotten, the shorter I've preferred hair on some men, which I'd never have expected of myself. But I still do think it depends on the guy. My husband's wearing his hair short since he met me, and on him I like it much better. He tended to look shaggy when he had it longer, when we first met.

I meant on guys, but now that I think about it, I really dislike long hair on women too. Most women look best with shoulder-length hair, perhaps slightly longer or slightly shorter depending on thickness and face and body shape.

Well...IMHO, anything 2" past the ears looks like the guy spends too much time on his hair. I once dated a guy with long hair years ago and he had more hair products than I did. Soooo manly--NOT.
Or they look like rejects from LOTR.

And Alanis Morissette -- her new haircut is awful!! Maybe a better short style would like nice, but I thought she looked great before!

Viggo....
Orlando...
Definitely not rejects.
PS: I like Elijah better with his Frodo wig than with short hair.

Oh no -- that's not my picture. If I met him, I'd probably have to be institutionalized b/c I would pretend I was in that moment for the rest of my life.

I have a thing for long hair, I confess. I hate the movie "Dances With Wolves" but I watch it anyway just because of Wind-in-his-hair's hair. Yum.
That said, I'd take Viggo Mortensen any day, even if he was totally bald. And my dh has short hair and it's as it should be. He just can't pull off long hair. It's okay. He has other talents.

Okay, I just looked through all the pictures. OH MY GAWD. ::::fans self:::: Okay, breathe...breathe...
Daniel Day-Lewis is another one who's got such fabulous bones that he's beautiful no matter what his hair looks like. And Johnny Depp, whose picture was plastered all over my bedroom when I was 13-14. He's aged well.

Yup I think it depends on the dude HOWEVER, that having been said ...
I'm a length-fetishist! If it were between two equally attractive men, one w short hair and one with long hair, the long-haired one would win out.
...Unless ofcourse it was a mullet, short in front (kindof the same thing), really thin, severe split-ends or balding. Oh ...or in that perpetual ponytail.
And I think you have to have a certain kind of facial and head shape to pull off either short, long OR bald hair. Regardless of who you are.
