I just unfriended three old coworkers on Facebook because I was sick of seeing their statuses of how exciting their jobs were and this one guy KEEPS POSTING PHOTOS of my old desk and the dogs...and it's like,"Wtf?"
It's like they totally forgot we were ever even work friends. They just care about the Almighty Boss. I hate that he's so powerful and successful and people trip over themselves to make him happy. He's corrupt and sadistic and abusive.

Oh CIBC I'm so sorry you are feeling so low. We are all here to support you. I completely understand people who say why don't you just get a job. It's not like you are not trying. They are missing one good worker when they don't hire you!! I'm going to keep my fingers cross for you.
I'm so sorry about your loss. You are more than allowed to have some down time.
And about your mom.....I don't know how you hero your temper with her. I would have lost it a long time ago.

Thank you. I didn't know her very well, but she was only 20 and I've been close to her mom and sister for ten years so I've always heard stories about her growing-up. It's just SO sad and heartbreaking watching them go through this. I could say that it shook me up and gave me perspective, but it's one of those deals, to paraphrase Anne Frank, just makes you more miserable when you're already miserable.

OMG. A press person I dealt with at my last job just messaged me to ask me if "the new guy" at my old office is gay or not because she wants to flirt with him and doesn't want to look stupid. I'm friendly enough with her, she knows that I lost my job and it took a really bad toll on me. Not the specifics, but she knows just from dealing with them that my boss has a psycho abusive reputation and the woman that works with him for 30 years is also freaking crazy.
--She KNOWS I haven't worked there in a long time and KNOWS he's new so OBVIOUSLY I DIDN'T WORK WITH HIM AND PROBABLY DON'T KNOW HIM
--It sounds like he's doing my old job. DOES SHE NOT THINK AT ALL?
I'm really nice to people. I'm respectful. I'm polite. Why the EFF do people just not give the slightest consideration to my feelings?
I responded with, "More salt!"
Let it take her a second to get that one.
I am SO hurt and frustrated and depressed this week. I don't know what's gotten into me.

I've had two interviews in as many days and both went wonderfully! Hopefully the interviewers feel the same way and atleast one of them makes me an offer! ::fingers crossed::

I had an interview today that went great. It was a smaller theatre company and everybody was British! The man I met with was very nice (and British! haha) and loved my experiences.
We'll seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
There's gotta be a cosmic reasoning for all of this. Gotta.

Another interview on Thursday and then another next week.
Does anybody in the world get more interviews than I do?

For some reason I get a good feeling about this one. Brits really appreciate a great sense of humour! Good luck!

Trust me, in this economy, that's actually a very good sign. Lots of times, people don't even respond when you apply. I've found that to be true; friends have found that to be true as well. This is a numbers game, so hang in there. Eventually, something will stick.

Oh, good lord, then HIRE me.

Thank you!
This is going to sound wrong, but it almost makes it MORE frustrating that these interviews are going so great and they're even TELLING me they're going great. I doubt they'd say that if it wasn't true...I mean, what do they owe me?
If I really felt I was doing really wrong things in these interviews, then at least I could work on it...but I can't...there's really nothing to "fix" (because there will be no universal way to act in every single interview because every office is different.) It's like I just have to keep going and hope something sticks EVENTUALLY.

I was told by one of the jobs I interviewed for that they let you know, good or bad, in 72 hours. Nothing! Ugh. So frustrating. I haven't been unemployed for long and I'm still collecting severance from my previous employer so I've got a little cushion but job hunting is just so frustrating.
I had an offer that I turned down last month, I'm starting to feel like I've made a mistake!
