I didn't feel like starting a new 80s thread, so I dug up an old one to add to. I guess I should have picked one that worked! My bad!

I go to a club around here that has an 80's tribute band play on Thursday nights. Tons of fun. Not everybody goes crazy 80's dressing, but some do.
I love some of the 80's style - I think some things should make a comeback. Then again, I think when it comes to fashion, anything goes.
I add some originality into my outfits. I cut the neckline of a lot of my shirts, so they hang off one shoulder, or both. Last night I went out wearing an open neck Sam Adams t shirt, and a mans tie. I got lots of compliments on that one.
One thing I can't bring myself to do is 80's hair. Gah!

I believe "80's Fashion" is an oxymoron.
And I should know.... I was there.

Ah, yes, pink legwarmers, mint green pants, black'n'white striped off-the-shoulder shirt...haha that was my favorite outfit. Blue, pink, and yellow eye shadow with flourescent pink blush and lipstick. Plus tons and tons of black jelly bracelets and black eyeliner.

Oh come on. It wasn't all horrible. Remember shaker knit sweaters? They weren't hideous at all. Straight legged jeans were a great look, too (at least on me in the '80s when I was built like a pipe cleaner).
I also LOVED the matte makeup. I'm PRAYING it comes back - I'm tired of shiny faces.

Shelli, that's awesome.
And just how much Aquanet did you have to use to get your hair that high?

I got really drunk & passed smooth out when I got home. In the morning, I woke up & my hair was STILL THE EXACT SAME!!! Haha! My husband (who didn't go) and baby were looking at me like,"WHOA!"

When I was in high school, we had to have a bang limit rule - under 2 inches or you had to go home and wash it out.
