Either my stomach or my side. I've tried to sleep on my back but never happens, no matter how tired I am I just lay there and look at the ceiling. I'm also not a cuddly sleeper, I like my own space.

I sleep on one side or the other. The only time I sleep on my back is after the alarm goes off the first time. Somehow lying (laying???) on my back helps me to start waking up. It also makes it easier to reach the alarm and slap that snooze button 5 times...

Hey! You forgot "on my side."

I sleep on my right side.

I move around on my back. I try stomach and sides a little, but my shoulders hurt if I sleep on my side, and suffocate if I sleep on my stomach. I'm head-turning challenged, so any stomach attempts end up with my face shoved into my pillow.

mine is mover since we cosleep. If the kid will let me I prefer to sleep on my back (now that we have a sleep number, otherwise stomach), if he doesn't then I sleep on my right side so he can eat at mom's all night diner.

I sleep on my stomach - it was TORTURE when I was pregnant and had to sleep on my side. I wanted to seriously take a huge knife and cut out a place for my belly in the mattress just so I could get some rest comfortably.

Just curious - will the cosleeping stop when you're no longer "mom's all night diner"?

I can't speak for Marielle and her cutie-boparutie, but with my kid, we slept together for quite a while after... until she was about seven. Sometimes she'd sleep in her own bed, but mainly with me.

(even now at 16 she still sometimes sleeps with me)

****

is there a way to edit to add sleeping on my side? I tried editing and I wasn't given any options for the poll.

Yeah, that's what I'd be concerned about with cosleeping. MY OPINION is that it doesn't seem very healthy for the marriage.

I can totally see cosleeping while baby is on the boob, but that would be about it for me.

Yeah, I just don't know. I think having a family bed is pretty standard in many cultures, just not the western ones.

At any rate, I was (and am ) single so it didn't matter to me.

I'm normally on my back or left side, but I'm all over the place. SO suffers dreadfully from both the physical abuse and the lack of sleep

Not me. I never move; once I'm out I'm OUT.
