Default Out of the options, where would you buy?

I have been shopping around for a digital camera and not sure which one to go with. Curious to see what everyone else would do.

It's funny, you have to select "add another option" for the last one to show up, even though it seems to you like you'll be creating an empty option.

I put Circuit City because that's where I got mine. But I'd do online research, pick a few camera types you like, then go to either Best Buy or Circuit City to try it out (hold it, take photos, print them) and decide what you like, then see who has the best price, and buy from them.

I only hear really bad stuff about Best Buy, esp when it comes to customer service. I won't use them just due to all the horror stories.

I would find the model camera I like then buy from wherever was cheapest.

I got mine on Amazon because it was the best price and they were offering an additional free memory card with it at the time. However, I'm not the type of person who has to touch/feel it before I buy it, at least when it comes to electronic equipment like cameras, so I had no problem with the idea of buying online.

Same here. I checked them out around town, then ordered online for much less, and a rebate!

i got mine from circuit city too!

and to whomever said something about best buy having terrible customer service, my boyfriend used to work in the tech department (the people you go to when you bring in broken merchandise or stuff that you think is broken) at best buy years ago. he still tells stories of how horrible the CUSTOMERS were. funny how there are always 2 sides to every story...

I decide on which camera I want first, then search for the cheapest price. I like to touch/feel cameras before I buy, so I go to places like Staples or OfficeMax to look at them. They generally have a surprisingly good selection, less pressure from the salepeople than Circuit City or Best Buy (absolutely HATE them), and often have the best deals, especially if you get one of their frequent "$20 of you next purchase of $100" coupons.
