I watch A LOT more now that I'm married - my husband is one of those people who has to have the tv on every waking moment. Before we got married I watched Buffy and that was about it, maybe Angel, but not consistently.

Now? I actively watch about 6 or 7 hours of tv a week, and I mean actually paying attention and watching and involved in the show. I get sucked into *his* shows.

And the tv is on in the living room from the moment he walks in 'til we go to bed. We often have it muted so we can talk...but it's on.

Crazy.

It depends on the week/what I'm up to.

If there are sports on usually more, but otherwise most likely 2-4 hours a week. I have multiple shows I try to keep up with, but I don't see most of them most weeks.

I have the t.v. on about two hours a night.... although I am usually doing other things usually missing the important parts of the shows!!

This is one of those subjects people like to lie about, kind of like weight (or for men, height!). I know some people who seem to have six different weekly shows they watch, not to mention they are always talking about other TV shows they caught during the week. Then they claim they only watch a couple hours of TV a week. Riiiight.

I put 2-4 hours. This is my current average, but presently I am not into any shows on TV and I don't have time to watch it.

Admittedly I'm often reading or knitting while it's on, but still. I catch them often enough that I usually remember the characters names from week to week.

We watch a LOT of TV, but don't forget that we are stuck inside bearing cold weather 7 months of the year. Now that summer is coming, it'll be much more Cubs games in the background of hanging out with each other or with friends.

I like having shows that we watch together, like the Amazing Race or American Chopper. But Tivo has made that very easy.
I tend to see Desperate Housewives and Extreme Makeover Home Edition, and if I have my tv on one other day of the week that's a lot. Thus my always asking for updates on Apprentice, American Idol, etc. I'll usually manage to catch *one* of them.

Though my new Tuesday night obsession (Robert Sean Leonard...nice!) has me thinking my levels may go over the 2-4 hours/week I selected!

If I had cable, I'd watch 3 hours/day most days during the summer, watching baseball.

I watch about 2 hrs. a day when I work out - but it's being used constructively because I'm keeping in shape! I am addicted to Law & Order, Sex and the City, Fear Factor, Idol, Bernie Mac, and Seinfeld and Frasier re-runs.

I really should watch less tv. The thing is, though, I don't often watch a show from start to finish...I usually drift off into space during a show, or read something, or leave the room for a while to do something else. Basically, I can catch a lot of tidbits from a lot of things.

This year I have been bad in that there are some shows (24, Alias, OC, Apprentice) that I HAVE seen every week from start to finish...I'm kinda ashamed (especially since some of those aren't all that good..but I don't have cable or satellite, so). But, it has been cold here, too...and now it is cold and muddy and wet.

I need to get on some hobbies...
Shoot, I didn't even take baseball into consideration. My numbers will go up...but for some reason I don't consider watching sports (especially baseball!) to be on the same mindless level as I do just watching regular tv. I have no idea why. I know guys who are just as addicted to televised sports as other people are to their favorite tv show.

The only thing I watch regularly is American Idol (what can I say, I got hooked) and the news. I am constantly seaching for a good movie, but that happens rarely. I end up watching the same Sex and the City episodes and movies over and over again.

I watch 14 or more hours because I work in a TV station.

when I'm at home I watch a lot.. my whole family watches the news together and then the tv is basically on all evening, but at school, I have no access to a tv, so I watch none... hmmmm so I guess I'm putting none since I'm at school more than home.
It depends, but I would say at least 8 hours a week.

I may never leave the house again. I bought a flat panel, wide screen, HDTV last weekend and the cable company just brought my high def dvr. All I can say is WOW.

God, I think I may even watch more than 14 hours a week. The t.v. is always on in my house. Sometimes I'm not watching it, but it's always on. Sometimes I feel like it's a bad habit to get my kids into, but then I say, why fight it. We don't sit in front of it like couch potatoes all the time. But I stay at home, and my baby is still young, so I'm trying to take advantage of that before she hits her toddler years. I have to watch General Hospital. I'm addicted. And I watch Summerland or Las Vegas (same day & time, dammit), Medium, and Gilmore Girls. The rest of the shows that are on I'll catch pieces of. Of course daily we have to watch Sesame Street, and sometimes Blues Clues or Bear in a Big Blue house.

Please excuse any typos. For the time being, we are blaming it on my computer.
The TV is usually on, but I'm not usually watching it. The only show that I watch regularly is Nip/Tuck. I usually end up watching about an hour of trash talk shows in the morning before class everyday. If you're counting movies, then I definately watch more than 14 hours. We have Netflix and we're always watching something new.
