Spin-Off: Sex during your period? (Could be adult....)
I never saw anything wrong with it and was surprised that people would not consider becoming intimate with their SO while they are menstruating. And by SO I am only referring to long-term partner/fiance/husband not a guy you casually date because that has health risks.
For those of you who said no, do you not do it because it is uncomfortable or does it just gross you out?

Mine would be a sometimes. Sometimes yes, sometimes its too uncomfortable. But mentally I have no issues with it. Sometimes physically there are issues. I marked my vote as yes, since I dont have real (read mental) issues with it.

I do, but the mess did bother me some. Then I found these. I don't like to use them for regular period protection (I prefer tampons), but I think they're great for that-time-of-the-month nookie!

I totally agree with mrsreba. As long as my guy has no issues (which DH doesnt) then I don't. If I don't want to it's because of physical discomfort.

I voted no, but that's just my choice. I feel like crap during my period - physically and emotionally like crap.
Plus I'm so damned klutzy during my period I'd probably hurt my poor husband somehow. (I elbowed him in the head once when we tried it "lights off" for a change. NEVER AGAIN! I'm truly a lights on kind of girl! )

I said yes, I feel like, why not. I'm more along the lines of.... if my partner is cool with it, so am I.

i voted yes. i don't have any problems with it and neither does my fiance. we throw down a towel and go for it. we don't usually do it day 1 or 2 which are heaviest, but after that it's fair game.

I voted yes because given my condition, I bleed all the time (sometimes heavy, sometimes not). But, we are only intimate when it's not heavy. DH doesn't mind, so neither do I. And I don't know about anyone else, but during that time, I get aroused very easily and things are more sensitive

I think it would turn me off.. I just find it hard to feel sexy while I'm leaking a less-than-attractive fluid. It's just a week.

My dh is just not into it. The man is squeamish about his own bodily fluids.
It's something we've done before and it's not particularly messy. But I usually can't get past the cramping. I know it's supposed to help ease cramps, but having cramps doesn't exactly put me in the mood.

Nothing 'wrong' with it morally, I think. However, its messy and whats the rush anyway? I believe the penis will still be in working order in six days.

Too messy for my liking. I am not interested in having sex then and neither is my husband, so we take a hiatus. Plus in the first 2 days of my period (when it is heaviest) I feel crampy, extra tired and just blah. Sex is the last thing on my mind.

Re: Spin-Off: Sex during your period? (Could be adult....)
For me it is not “rushing” but falls in line with what Amerasiancurls said:
I totally agree with her.
Besides, I have a *very* light 2-3 day period since day I started menstruating at 14 years old. I do not get cramps or discomfort and it does not get “messy.” Besides the obvious, the only time I know that I am on my period is that I get extremely aroused. I may be one of the lucky few in this respect.
Also, I read that it is good for your health to orgasm during menstruation (posted quote on other “period” thread). So, I also do it for my health.
Totally understand why others would not do it. At first, I thought it was because of religious/health reasons (which I understand), the messy aspect (understand), or people thought periods were gross/dirty/embarrassing (cannot comprehend because it is natural and there is a thing called a shower...but to each her own).
However, from some of the responses it looks like some of you have heavy flows that last for days. I can see why/how it could get messy/uncomfortable…..I consider myself lucky (and so does my SO ).

Very rarely, and only if it's on the last day when there's barely any flow left. The first few days I'm usually crampy, with a heavier flow, and so not in the mood.
