When we lived in CT, yes. A snowflake would send them into acting as if the world was going to blow up.
The weather guy here is named Spencer Christian and we sing his name to the tune of Sister Christian every time they say his name so I like him. Although here they get worked up over rain. Just rain. No thunder or lightening, just rain.
Do you have any bird or hummingbird feeders?

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

We used to, but we are at the top of a hill that pretty regularly gets really strong winds, so the ones un our trees have gotten knocked down. When we do the landscaping in our backyard, I'd like to do some lower to the ground though.
Do you collect anything?

No, I think they are just really good at reading people.
Should I wear professional clothes to my work luncheon on Friday?
(super casual workplace, it is lunch, but I am the supervisor - the only boss they see on a regular basis… I only have two days to buy pants if I need them, I was thinking dark jeans and a nicer shirt)

Sometimes, if I'm on a schedule that day.
Have you bought yourself Xmas gifts?

I am getting a red stripe put in my hair tonight so I guess that's a Xmas gift to myself. I spent more on New Petie the Mouse than I will spend on myself tho.
How about you?

Oh goodness, I guess I sorta did because that's what I told Mr. Spring. "By the way, you got me a purse for Christmas..." I don't normally do stuff like that.
Real Christmas tree or fake?

Real, I guess, because my yard is full of pines and bringing a tree into a house full of dogs is asking for trouble. If I had a small white fake tree that I placed up high enough that would be okay, but I don't want to decorate it or anything.
My very recently widowed 58 year old friend is suddenly preoccupied with her own death. Is this normal?

Very normal.
Do you consider yourself normal or a bit odd?

I think people think I'm odd, maybe? We never see ourselves as others perceive us and I often wonder what others see when they interact with me. (and I'm pretty sure I just confused myself) I'd consider myself somewhat odd.
Eggnog, yay or nay? (I'm trying to go with holiday themed questions )

I like it if it doesn't have too much booze and no nutmeg.
Candy canes - peppermint or wintergreen or one of the weird 'modern' flavors?

None of the above. I really only like chocolate or anise/licorice-flavored sweets.
Are there specially-flavored holiday jellybeans?

Not really. Jelly Belly has candy corn flavored ones, but that's it really. I was hoping to find pumpkin spice, sweet potato, turkey and stuffing, cranberry sauce, champagne toast, candy hearts, peeps, etc. But no go.
How should I tell a photographer that I'd like to work with him (as an MUA) but I don't want to go to his home for our first photo shoot? Until I'm more comfortable with him, I'd like to work at a neutral site, if possible.

Ask him if he offers different sites, or is open to the idea. Have a few in mind to suggest before you approach the issue.
When watering an orchid with an ice cube as advised (by the grower), do I use ice chips or just put one in the dirt and let it melt?

Very helpful --- thank you!
I either try to find something funny to hear, watch, or read, or I give into it and sulk until I feel silly. I find that it's hard to stay down when you're walking a dog or dogs.
Do you enjoy buying a new calender every year?

I have a broked foot and have been forbidden from walking my dog or doing any walking outside on uneven surfaces. Yes, I know that's not how you spell broken but it accurately describes how it feels!
Yes, I love buying calendars! Santa brings new ones to all my family members each year!
What's your favorite calendar subject matter? Do you like the ones with quotes or advice or to improve your vocabulary or do you like pretty pictures? of what? Do you like a page per month, week, or day?

I buy the same one every year, it's a fridge size Gary Patterson Dogs calendar and I love it.
Do you ever play card games?
