@DNise: Then no, I don't like it either. Not one bit.

TRBL, I got pistachio. And then I got a stomach ache.

Hmmm......not sure between Tequila and Rum. Rum, perhaps? In honor of pirates.

If I said I had Javier Bardem bangs today, would you know what I meant?

Totally wolfman. No question at all. Team Wolfman!

Yep. Those are my bangs today. Stupid-looking, yet menacing. (j/k on the menacing. but not on the stupid.)

Should I go for it with the Kindle Fire?

Yes (I know you did )

Is it wrong to hope someone quits (soon) so that I can have her job? (she told me she is applying elsewhere)

Sucks if you've been pretending to like her and have her back....

No question as of yet.

No, it's not wrong. If she wants to leave, it's a win-win, imo.

Nay

Would you wear a fresh flower garland in your hair?

BAP - That is sooo not me. I actually do like this lady, but can see she is not happy here. She asked me if I wanted her position when she told me she was applying elsewhere. I just feel weird hoping that she leaves.

No --- I have a fear of looking like a drag queen. Also, I think I'm too long in the tooth.

About what height heel can you wear most comfortably?

Can't do heels any more. Platforms are good though up to about 3" or so. (Mr B is short)

Does claudine know there is a new pic of Calvin somewhere?

No, she does not. But now she's going to seeking.

It's bad that I'm developing a real fondness for $6.00 a bottle agave-sweetened ginger soda, right? Because that's just a crazy price to pay?

That is a crazy price to pay, but I pay around that for my frapaccino addiction, so who am I to say anything.

I did however remember that our favorite food network guy had a recipe for ginger ale on Good Eats, so I looked it up, tadaaaaaa:

Ingredients
1 1/2 ounces finely grated fresh ginger
6 ounces sugar
7 1/2 cups filtered water
1/8 teaspoon active dry yeast
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
Directions
Place the ginger, sugar, and 1/2 cup of the water into a 2-quart saucepan and set over medium-high heat. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat, cover and allow to steep for 1 hour.

Pour the syrup through a fine mesh strainer set over a bowl, pressing down to get all of the juice out of the mixture. Chill quickly by placing over and ice bath and stirring or set in the refrigerator, uncovered, until at least room temperature, 68 to 72 degrees F.

Using a funnel, pour the syrup into a clean 2-liter plastic bottle and add the yeast, lemon juice and remaining 7 cups of water. Place the cap on the bottle, gently shake to combine and leave the bottle at room temperature for 48 hours. Open and check for desired amount of carbonation. It is important that once you achieve your desired amount of carbonation that you refrigerate the ginger ale. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, opening the bottle at least once a day to let out excess carbonation.

Will Deenie try the above recipe???

Deenie is extremely grateful for the trouble TRBL went to in typing out the recipe, but Deenie is lazy, and also burns out on drink fads fairly quickly, so she will probably keep forking over the $6 for at least a week or two more.

Can a person eat too many crackers if there is something healthy on top of each? Wait --- let me rephrase that: is it okay to have crackers with different healthy toppings for two out of three meals per day?

Absolutely, nothing wrong with crackers & healthy stuff. Think of it this way, is it wrong for people to eat rice with two meals? or potatoes? You need your starch!

How will Friday go for all of us?

p.s. - I'm lazy, I just copied & pasted, no typing for me.

I have not, never been to DC, although there are a number of museums I'd like to go to there.

When someone posts under a new name do you try to figure out who they are?

Yup.

Do you ever have trouble understanding things (written or spoken) when you're tired? I do then when I get some sleep, I can make sense of things much better.

Do you think a Word of the Day Calendar/Email/yadda yadda actually helps you to improve your vocabulary?

Started a thread just for you

Mmmmm bread.. a tangy sourdough with a soft fluffy interior, and a slightly crisp and chewy crust, slathered in butter.

What was your favorite childhood pasttime?
