P., get them professionally steam-cleaned. That should do the trick.

Wile, does it have a strong smell? Sometimes I find that cleaning products simply replace the old smell with a new one........

Great point, nd. No, I have a very sensitive sense of smell. I could smell that hint of Febreeze, but it wasn't overpowering. It has those enzymes in it that eat the offending smell.
To clean my carpet, I also use the Oreck enzyme cleaner for pets, etc. That stuff is amazing, as well! It got out an old spot at my folks' country home in their Berber...awesome stuff!

I haven't tried it, but the stuff in RCC's thread was Fresh Wave and she used the crystals for a scent in the air. They also have a spray that might help. If you can put it out in the sun it might help as well.
I think the best way to go is a professional steam clean like ninja suggested.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

I'm going for that Oreck Enzyme eater. After a week with the nervous poodle visiting, my house smells just ever so faintly like a zoo.

Re: the last question: I can't sing a lick! Neither can either of my parents. At all. My mom seems to think she can and she really wants to very badly. I feel bad for her because her voice is awful.
Question: Do you ever get down feeling sorry for others, such as people who are being abused, are terminally ill, lonely or are otherwise hurting...so much so that you can't stop thinking about it for a while?

Yes, very much so. An online friend made the decision to have an abortion last week, and I just can't stop thinking about it and crying. It was a very hard decision for her, the baby had a major heart defect, so a very sad situation all around no matter where you stand on abortion.
What is your biggest regret?

Well, I really wish I could sing. But I've mishandled things with several ex's at times, and I feel very bad about it.

Yes, up to a certain point. Today is an example of that, as I've been in and out of bed all day. I'm still in my robe. But when it's too hot, I can't sleep well at all.
What's the most beautiful place you've ever been?

I look for something I really disagree with or dislike within him, and then I make peace with that. Or, I stay the heck away --- period.

No, I don't know her very well. But there are a few other posters I'd love to just have the opportunity to miss. Hee.
What happened to Kasden? She left?
Do you have to work or go to school tomorrow?

I do, and have for the last 17 years. Not sure how he puts up with me.
Do you like putting up a Christmas tree (if you celebrate Christmas, that is)?

No ---- my yard is chock full of various evergreens, and it would be redundant. Plus, I suspect the dogs would piddle on it.
Do you enjoy giving yourself a good head scratching?

Oh, hello!
A: Water...really. And it doesn't have to be ice cold.
Q: Did you pig out over the holiday? If so, will you continue to pig out today? I might...
