It was a tad windy today but not too much.

What did you have for dinner?

Veggie chili with pickles (yes, I know it's weird....but oh so good!) and bread.

What's your favorite weird food combo?

I don't think I have any now. When I was younger I loved ketchup on eggs and I would still eat it, I just never think to do it. A friend of mine loved fruity pebbles, milk and sweet tea all in a bowl. It was disgusting.

Is there anything you'll eat cooked, but not raw? Example: onions, celery, etc.

Hot dogs.

Should I have an alcoholic drink or milk to help me sleep? I have to get up somewhat early tomorrow.

I don't know why, but a very slightly sweet warm vanilla milk makes me sleepy. (And curlysue, you're a wonderful friend for going tomorrow, you'll both be in my thoughts and I'm sorry for your friends loss)

Have you ever been in a wedding (excluding your own if you're married)?

My mom used to make it for me when I was little.

I haven't, but I came close in middle school once with this snooty beyatch that tried fighting me in front of EVERYONE during recess. Humiliating.

Good question, have you ever been in a fist fight?

No. I came close once but I'm glad I didn't because I was at school. Mom would not have been pleased.

Did you watch "The Great Pumpkin" this evening? If you missed it, it'll be on tomorrow. I love Charlie Brown. It makes me think of being a kid again.

No, but I'm wearing my Peanuts Hallowe'en shirt tomorrow for reverse trick-or-treating. Also, I watch The Great Pumpkin year round, not just at Hallowe'en.

Do you reverse trick-or-treat?

I don't think I know what that means, so I don't know if I've done it. : )

What is reverse trick or treat? Do you walk around town and give candy to homeowners instead of getting candy from them?

  • END poverty among cocoa farmers
  • END forced/abusive child labor in the cocoa industry
  • PROTECT the environment
  • PROMOTE Fair Trade

How? By distributing Fair Trade chocolate to adults, attached to a card explaining these problems in the cocoa industry and how Fair Trade presents a solution.

How ready for the holiday weekend are you?

I still have lots to do. There will be 10,000 people downtown tomorrow nite for our Halloween parade and since it goes by my house I have a big party every year, so I have to cook for about 100 people. But I have tonite and tomorrow to finish so it will get done.

The parde theme this year is Treasure Island so there will be lots of pirates around. Yay.

Do you ever wish you were a pirate?

ETA: I have wished I was a pirate it looked like it would be fun for all of 5 minutes lol

What does a pickle taste like? (I've never had a pickle!)

Cucumber, vinegar, garlic and dill. Actually it depends on the pickle. I love pickled food, not just your standard pickle.

Have you ever been to a demolition derby?

I bet you've had pickled onions in some form (like the ones fried to top mangu).

Nope.

Have you ever had fries dipped in a milkshake? It sounds disgusting but delicious at the same time.

I love demo derby and try to go at least once a year.

Big party at my house saturday. Sunday I hope I have no plans so I can clean up and then rest.

Do you like parades?
