Maybe its a CT thing because I don't care for any of the candidates either.

I use whatever is on sale. Middle of the road kind that's not too expensive but still soft on my bum.

Do you think lighting scented candles will help with the smell in my house? My vent in the kitchen doesn't go anywhere thanks to DH.

I always burn a candle right after making bacon and use a little room spray, always seems to do the trick. As much as I love the smell of bacon, when it's all you can smell all day, yuck. Our vent is useless too.

Are you liking the new colors on NC.com?

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

Get someone to get the vent to work right, if you can't do it yourself.
I think do what you need to in the meantime...at least it's not a fish smell, right?!

I got used to the orange...being in Tejas, and all..lol

Is it cool where you are?
I'm freezing and winter isn't even here yet. It's 43 out right now.

Have you ever noticed springcurl seems to start the most interesting/longest, most participated in threads?

I have noticed that. I enjoy hers and Speckla's silly threads.

Nevah! I love silly threads.

Do you think the mods should save and set aside an area with the most crazy/controversial threads so we may read for nostalgia?

Isn't hunting for them part of the fun though?

I made a silly thread, will you go post in it so it doesn't fizzle?

I will once I think of something to post in there

What is winter weather like where you live?
Turtles: omg please don't put that in your moo moo

Nej: too late... moo moo has been infiltrated.
In a word....sloppy. Typically cold with some snow. Over the season we get on average around 3 feet total.

Do you think Yankee candles are worth the $$?

It can be very cold, below zero and windy, 100+ inches of snow on average, usually a blizzard or two, we can also have warmish days, sleet, ice, rain, hail, and even some sun if we're lucky! Millions of us live thru it every year and we're used to it.

No I don't think they are worth the $$. I buy much cheaper but equally great smelling home made candles.

Do you live in the same area you were born?

Yes, born and raised in the BX (NYC). Though I would like to move down to the DC/Northern VA area one day, so I can afford to be on my own.

Do you wear glasses?

Yes, one eye is far sighted, one is near. I wear them for reading and computer work.

Do you have good hearing?

It's above average, but it isn't as good as it used to be. I burst both eardrums within weeks of each other from diving too deep. I obviously didn't learn my lesson after the first time....

Blame it on the TP gnomes that sneak in at night from the neighbor's yard. That, or you have children.

Do ever write something on a list that you just did only so you can gain satisfaction from marking it off?

No, but I do know someone who would mark things off on someone else's list, just to tick him off/tease him (it was in college, and not me).

What is the funny thread that TRBL started?
Dearest ninja, I think it's a dud.. I thought it would be fun to try to write a story with song lyrics, but no one is playing with me. Oh well, can't win 'em all.

Will the book I want still be at the library after I get off work? (it is not reservable)

YES!! *positive thoughts, positive thoughts*

Have you ever cooked a meal and it turned out gross? If so, what did you eat as an alternative?

We must have posted at the same time LOL! Heres my answer ab the book & urs.I'd say you have a 50/50 chance. You know its like when you go into a store & see something you really want and instead of getting it you talk yourself out of it, yet when you go back to get it they either no longer have your size and/or the color you wanted.

It's happened to me too many times so I say whenever you see something you know you want just go ahead and get it (money willing/available to do so). I always say its no an impulse buy its an investment and a time saver.

Yes I have. My fiancee wanted some chicken & rice as a soup...WTF! Either the way it turned out terrible...well at least I think so but he loved it! I just ate a chicken pot pie!

Did anyone really win any of things given away on NC..I haven't heard of anyone who said they won a thing...
