Thanks my curlies! I'm actually feeling better today, though I sound horrible.

Yes I like cold chicken! Now I want a sammich w/cold chicken & mayo, on wonder bread, maybe a little brown mustard.

Am I the only one who watched "The Next Iron Chef"? I'm glad that the person who won did, the other finalist drove me batty from the first episode!

I like watching Food Network but for some reason the challenge shows don't interest me.

Do you mind eating leftovers or do you not like them?

I don't mind leftovers and if I can, I'll reinvent them into something else.

Pasta: white or whole wheat?

Either is fine for me.

Is it wrong to be envious of a man's curly hair? The photo of Shaun White made me think of this.

Shaun White's hair is definitely worth envying.

Did you go to the grocery store today, and if so, was it crazy crowded?

I did not, but husbandito did.. he didn't complain, so I'm guessing it wasn't terrible.

He just told me he finished making dessert, what do we think he made?? (I'll report back tomorrow. He recently made cream puffs that were sooooo yummy!)

Profiteroles! I think he made profiteroles! (In which case, I'll be right over.)

Have you ever filled a grocery cart to overflowing? I saw a lady doing just that today. Amazing.

I haven't, unless you count a cart from the warehouse club. At the grocery I'm only shopping for two so it's rarely half full.

I went Monday and the parking lot was PACKED at 10am!

Do you enjoy wrapping presents?

No. I might treat myself to a few more pairs of jeans AFTER Christmas, because I'm down to two pairs that are long enough, and they're $50 apiece....I'm hoping for a few pairs of my favorite cut for my birthday/Christmas though.

Do you exchange presents with friends? A group of mine do a gift-exchange and draw names out of a hat, but I know that others exchange with EVERYONE. They must have a lot more money at their disposal than I do....

I used to shop for more people but I've cut back. Now I shop for about 25 people, mostly family, my boss, the NC gift exchange, my lawn guy, newspaper lady, mailman, and a couple friends.

Do you get a knot in your stomach around the holidays, the good kind, the kind where you know Santa is coming, and you might see reindeer, the smell of xmas cookies, the change in weather - that kind of feeling?

Excitement? I definitely do. Especially since my birthday is right before Christmas--I get all kinds of excited.

Semi-Formal Birthday Parties: Why?!? I need to go buy 4 or 5 dresses now....ergh.

Kenz, that stinks!! I can't imagine going to a semi-formal birthday party, just doesn't jive in my brain.

I miss Christmas shopping. We don't spend it with our family at this point (too far away), but I do get to buy a few gifts for my in laws who will be here this year with us. Yet I'm totally stuck, no clue what to get them!!! I am excited to wrap presents though.

Do you own a bathing suit?

I own two cute ones and several racing ones from when I used to swim competitively.

Do you have any weird allergies?

Well, I once had a lentil and coconut soup that made me feel terrible afterward. And I can't take prescription painkillers. But, not really, I guess. I know I'm not allergic to animals!

Are Fig Newtons better just a tiny bit stale?

I haven't had a fig newton since I was a kid staying with my aunt and uncle. They always had them and I thought "Oh! Cookies!" then I would eat one. NOT what I was expecting. Maybe they would be better a little stale.

Have you ever been so sore from exercising it hurts to type?

I don't think so. I just hate when you can barely move from soreness.

When making beans from scratch, how long do you cook them after soaking?

I usually simmer for about an hour to an hour and a half. Mmmm, this makes me want some black eyed peas and cornbread!

Do you like musicals?

Not overly. I like the Wizard of Oz and the Sound of Music. But that's about it.

Is Ninja obsessed with Fig Newtons? She has asked a few questions about Newtons. Which I am now craving.

I think she does. It should be her new avatar.

Favorite burger (or vegiburger) toppings? I'm craving a big juicy La Frieda burger from the diner in town with swiss cheese and mushrooms. Nom noms.
