Depends, certain black teas like earl grey or those containing vanilla or peppermint.

What's your favorite tea?

Bengal Spice. I also like teas with a strong taste of ginger.

When was the last time you got a postcard from a friend?

I can't even recall... Postcards aren't sent enough! We sent some to family while on our vacation last year though.

Were you spanked as a child?

I find myself saying both about equally.

I am pro-spanking all the way. We didn't get spanked, we got hit with a belt. I'm fine with that.

hot tea or iced tea?

Iced & sweet with a squeeze of lemon, please.

Mashed potatoes or whipped (not with a belt)?

Some people use a mixer to beat/whip their potatoes. As much as I like a good whip, I prefer my potatoes mashed. : ) I just got a great masher on ebay. Like this - http://www.ebay.com/itm/NYLON-POTATO...#ht_3240wt_905
It's the best one I ever had.

Do you like mashed cauliflower?

I do liked mashed cauliflower!

I'm picky about my pertater masher, it's gotta be the open S type because I hate the grid patterned kind. Jeep, I like yours too.

Whipped potatoes are gummy.

Favorite Thanksgiving side dish? (I've got a theme going today.)

Whipped potatoes
How do I prevent my boiled egg shells from sticking to the eggs when I peel them?

I usually have the pot they cooked in filled with cool water and after I've peeled the egg I dip it back in the water to rinse then set out on a tea towel to dry.

And if you don't know use eggs that are a little older for deviled eggs because they're easier to peel.

ETA: Do you mean they're just hard to peel? In addition to the older egg thing I also gently tap on the counter all over to crack the shell then very gently while applying the slightest bit of pressure roll the egg on the counter and sometimes it helps loosen the shell a bit if I'm using fresher eggs.

Sweet potato pie or pumpkin pie?

Pumpkin, my own, which is very dark and spicy.

ditto what spring said - Don't use super fresh eggs for boiled eggs. The older they are the easier they will peel. I also knock mine around a little and let them sit in cold water for a bit. I rarely have an egg that won't peel.

hard or soft boiled?

Hard.

In general, are eggs wonderful or disgusting, or maybe a bit of both?

What is a chore you actually don't mind doing? (I don't mind doing laundry or dishes)

Anything but garbage and Diaper pail!
I actually really, really enjoy cleaning! Friends and family always ask how we keep such a clean place with two toddlers.

Thanksgiving has already come and gone here in Canada, but on the Turkey Day food theme, do you like turnips? Are they even popular in the US?

I like turnips a lot. I don't know of they'd be considered 'traditional' though.

Do you watch the Macy's day parade?

(it's my favorite part of Thanksgiving)
