Believe it or not, I had a great time in shorthand class. It was all girls, and we had timing contests with prizes.
In college, it was.....opera.
Do you have a favorite pair of socks?

I have 6 pair of the same exact kind, so yes.
Have you ever made crepes?

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

Oh I could really go for some guac right about now. I looove it. I don't know about celery and cukes as dippers though. I'll take the chips.
Have you ever had a hot flash? (I think I had one this morning. Not fun.)

Yes --- it was so unusual for me (as I am always cold), that I kind of enjoyed it. I just went outside when it happened (it was winter). I sincerely hope this is part of menopause for me, when it comes (no signs yet).
Did you watch and/or love the doggy on a diet VW commercial last night?

I did love that doggy.
And ditto all you said about hot flashes and meno. I want meno to start for cripes sake and I hope it includes some hot flashes.
Did you watch and/or love the Clint Eastwood ad? I loved it so much.

I didn't see the Clint commercial.
Do you use an alarm clock? If so, do you wake to music or the alarm?

This is going to sound crazy, but I have mine set to the marine/weather alert station. It's not because I prefer it, it's just because it's the only station that comes in clearly on my crappy clock radio.
Have you been sailing?

Not really. I've been on plenty of boats and other watercraft but I can't say that I've been legit sailing.
Have you ever been windsurfing?

The Clint/Detroit commercial made me cry. I love non-corny reminders about why I love America, since there are always so many things about life here that drive me nuts, too.
I have been sailing, but never windsurfing.
How about water-skiing? Done that?

No. Water sports terrify me. Drowning is at the top of my "worst ways to die" list.
Twizzlers or Red vines?

We had a sailboat, never again (at least that's what I say, DH disagrees).
Never windsurfed. Never skied. I can't swim so that may be why.
Neither Twizzlers nor Red Vines.
Will you be giving anyone a Valentines?

I hadn't thought about it until now. Should I get something for my BF? Is that weird? Something silly?
Do you give a hoot about Tom Brady?

As a Giants fan, I can whole heartedly say "NOPE!"
Why is buying a straight forward new television so complicated? I'm having trouble figuring out what I want within my price range.

Because there are WAYYYY too many options. Our TV keeps acting up lately and I'm already prepared with what TV we'll get next. Finally, I've planned ahead!
Where was the last place you went on vacation?

I used to, and perhaps I will again, but lately it's just too much trouble (and $).

Never been on a train. But you can travel more places on a plane.
Do you play any instruments?

I used to be quite good on the clarinet, and I also played oboe and saxophone.
I could still play a clarinet if I had to (still have mine) but would be lost on the other two.
Have you been to Pinterest yet? If so, is it worth the hype?
