Just wanted to add that I experience no burning or irritation after applying Crystal deodorant immediately after shaving.

Update: I tried the Aubrey and it did not work, although it didn't irritate my skin. Oh well. Back to my yummy tropical Suave deodorant.

I know this is old, but I wish I would have paid attention to this before I bought the same deodorant on Tuesday. I remember seeing this post, but not thinking anything of it because I'm not allergic to anything, so I thought it wouldn't happen to me.
It was fine the first time, but the second time it got red and started to sting. I applied more the next morning (hoping it was just a fluke) but the same thing happened. I had not shaved in about 24 hours, so I don't think it was from shaving.
I do have a Kiss My Face roll-on that I tried tonight with no problem. I also have Jason's tea tree scent. I bought a few at once since I figured it would take a few different types for me. I'm still really disappointed because the lavender smelled so nice at first! Oh! And after the burning, I still don't think it worked very well. I felt smelly after yoga. Ick!

Success! I tried the Kiss My face unscented roll-on and it's great! It doesn't smell, but that's OK. It actually withstands my intense cardio workouts (I sweat a LOT) and a full day in a Florida summer. I'm impressed!

Earth Science liken plant herbal scent is not bad. There is no stinging, a nice light neutral scent, and enough protection for a low-exertion day. But any kind of working out or exercise, or unchecked temperature control @ work.. then i am much more comfortable going back to Dove.

I have been using Tom's Apricot deodorant for a little while now, and have had no problems with it. As Viola mentioned, this too is more for a low exertion day; for days that I might be out and may work up a bit of a sweat, I would go with something stronger. The exception being of course if I am working out, since I will smell no matter what and that is to be expected.

I'd like to use the naturals too, but they just don't work for me. Guess I'm just too funky by nature.

I used Queen Helene Aloe for several years, but the price got to be ridiculous at my local health food store. So I had to locate a different one online.
I found several reasonably priced, highly rated ones at Vitacost.com. I bought Jason Tea Tree, and so far, so good. But I've only had it a short while. Not sure how it will stand up to stressful situations.
Have to mention that I tried Jason Apricot several years ago, and it did not work on me -- almost as bad as using nothing. And Tom's really irritated my skin.

All the natural deodorants I have tried don't work (as far as keeping the smell down, and the sweat). Tom's included. So I use Mitchum's, even though it isn't natural, it is by far the best out there that isn't natural. When I switched to showering at night, I didn't have to worry about whether it burned under my arms after shaving.

It does take about a month to adjust, I think. I've been using the crystal since mid-June. It was ok. It lasted most of the day, but then again it was a 100-degree summer in Texas.
I missed having an actual smell, so I added on a vegan deodorant from an etsy seller that is amazing! The smell never fades, and it smells so good! I've tried pink cupcake, which really did smell like cupcakes, and black raspberry vanilla, which is now my favorite. Her site seems to be down, but I really recommend checking it out when she gets up and running again.
I use the crystal at night after showering, and the vegan stick in the morning. I still sweat, but it doesn't bother me. None of the traditional antiperspirants helped that for me, and at least this routine is natural and keeps me from smelling after a long day of running back and forth acrosss campus in the Texas heat!
