Oh good lord. I ask you a few questions because your post doesn't make sense (and obviously I'm not the only one who thinks so) and you get all worked up and try to tell me which threads I can post to? Why are you getting so defensive about people trying to understand a situation that you brought up in the first place?

I'm sorry, but if you post something on a message board, you're going to get replies and they won't always be what you wanted to hear. You can't just ask everyone whose answers you dislike not to post anymore (e.g. you asked M2LR and me that on this thread).

I'm not "telling". I'm asking: please don't. To keep posting would be pushy in itself.

I didn't ask M2LR not to but I think I'll ask her too. No you're not the only ones who feel the way you do. But people tend to jump on the bandwagon here, which I'm sure you know. Not everyone agrees with you though.

If you don't see how calling someone's post nonsense would be bothersome then that proves that my request for you to stop posting was a good one. Thanks

Yes, you did ask M2LR not to post here in this thread, since you didn't like what she was saying.

The title of the thread itself is nonsensical.

"How to introduce a non-seafood lover to seafood?"

I just don't get why that's even a question. And then you say "well maybe he hasn't tried it". And then you don't know if he's tried it or if he has, exactly what he's tried. And when people try to make sense of this, you get mad.

This whole thing is just really odd.

Sorry I forgot I asked her that. It's still not nonsense.

Why are you getting so upset? You want to "introduce" seafood to someone who's already said they don't care for it. Some parts of your posts don't make sense and folks were just asking for 1-clarification and 2-your reasoning for trying to change someone's eating habits.

This is a grown man, obviously he knows some seafood is good for him. If he has made the comment that he's not big on it, leave it alone. If he's big on pasta make him a big ol bowl of spaghetti and meatballs. Meat? Grill him a steak. There are tons of things to get to know about this person. His food likes and dislikes are really not that big a deal.

Re-read the thread to answer your questions.

I don't try to convince anyone to love seafood. If they don't like it, I figure that leaves more for me!

Not trying to be snarky but this thread is making me laugh!

If someone says to me that "they are not big on seafood" - a line I often use myself - I would take it to mean that they have tried it and it just isn't what they would prefer to eat. I feel that way and probably a few times a year eat shrimp, lobster, fried fish and calamari. I don't actively seek out these foods but if that is what is available to me, I will eat them. I would not be opposed to someone asking me if I would try some seafood but don't be upset when I tell you no or I don't like it. I'm not five, I'm old enough to know what I like and choose if I want to try new things. My husband doesn't like a lot of foods that I do and vice versa but we agree to disagree on what we consider good and leave it at that. Good advice if you want another date with this man.

My SO loves fried whole belly clams. Now that is a food that ALOT of people don't like. I assumed if he liked those he would like other seafood. Nope - I was wrong. I make my seafood dinners when he is traveling or when we go out to eat - I get seafood.
