How to introduce a non-seafood lover to seafood?

Not trying to be snarky but this thread is making me laugh!

If someone says to me that "they are not big on seafood" - a line I often use myself - I would take it to mean that they have tried it and it just isn't what they would prefer to eat.

But..if he really means that he's not that into it(meaning he doesnt hate it), I still don't see why you'd wanna push it on him.
I wouldn't.

I have a couple suggestions for introducing someone to seafood. I use to be a real picky eater when I was a kid, but I've gotten much more adventurous as an adult in expanding my horizons with food. Have them try a real mild flavored fried/sautéed fish sandwich like Mahi Mahi, Grouper, or Yellowfin Tuna. Or a fish fillet dinner with the same type of fried/sautéed fish. Another suggestion is cooked Sushi. Many Japanese restaurants have some types of Sushi that are fried, and most of them are absolutely delicious. Before I ever tried Sushi I was really afraid of it, thinking that all Sushi was raw. I was delightfully surprised by how good some of the cooked Sushi dishes really are. Now I've gotten more adventurous and have learned to love some types of raw Sushi. I never would have imagined myself eating that 10 years ago!

No troll, just a spammer. In a thread about fish.
I love the poem. Strange though. I used to visit Beinggirl back when I read teen magazines and had AOL. They had a cool forum back then where all the sexual and biological questions I was too embarrased to ask my mom were answered.

I should add that I hate seafood too. I'll eat the shrimp or fish in ceviche though, because ceviche is just nom.

I just want to do what I want to do when I want to do it.
Still no seafood for me. I recently tried crab twice and crawfish..in a supposedly non seafoody way, still a no go for me . O well.
Who knew seafood could be so... dramatic?

My better half is not a fan of seafood but he'll eat it fried or in sushi.
