Picky eaters raise your hand...

Growing up I was picky. Now not so much.

I hate:

Coconut and anything with coconut flavoring in it (I like the smell of coconut though).
Re-fried beans
Liver or any other organ meats
I am not a big fan of chicken if I have to prepare it (that comes from when I was pregnant)

I am sure there are things out there that I have no idea about that I wouldn't like but that is all I can think of.

Oh yes, I hate white chocolate too. As well as sausage, peppers, and onions. Cotton candy and caramel apples too. Prosciutto, raw pepperoni, pepper jack cheese, bourbon sauce, pretty much most of the menu at the chain restaurants like TGIFridays, Applebees, etc. Sake, too. Don't like russet potatoes, turnips, hard boiled eggs, bologna, olive loaf. Only like plain bagels.

I don't like nuts in my sweets (brownies, cookies, etc.) and can't stand Butterfingers. Besides bananas, peaches, and plums, I'm open to most fruits, oh except grapes -- hate grapes.

Oh yeah, martinis. Can't stand them. And don't like Pina Coladas because of the coconut flavor.

Oh, and those "sub sauces" that some places use on their subs. Ugh.

Also tomato juice and bloody marys. And steak sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and copious amounts of black pepper.

Oh, I just remembered cocktail sauce and horseradish too.

Cranberry sauce.

And I'll eat meatloaf, but if you put ketchup on it or in it, then it's no good.

Don't like capers or lox either.

And cube steak or club soda.

Salsa, avocados, guacamole.

I detest Miracle Whip.

The end (for now...).

and phd's list is truly amazing. what in the heck do you eat?
i used to be very picky when i was younger, but now i'm not that bad.

i am funny about some things though.

i hate raisins, but i love grapes.

i love fresh fruit (apples, bananas, etc), but i hate anything made from fruit (like pies, turnovers).

i don't like most sweet things except for chocolate. if it's too tart, i don't care for it. i don't like things that leave an aftertaste, but it's a particular kind of after taste that i can't really describe.

and texture plays a big roll in if i like it or not. i'm not a fan of mushy things, stringy things, i HATE the combination of ice cream and cake together. the temp/texture combo is all wrong to me and i just don't like it.

so yeah, i guess maybe i'm KINDA picky.

I'm really really picky, and I'd love to not be! I hate:

Fish of all kinds
Seafood
Salad of all kinds
Lamb
Sauces of all kinds (apart from gravy)
Cream or full fat milk
Garlic and most spices
+ a million other things!!

I will eat:
Veg: peas, spring greens, broccoli, runner beans
Fruit: apples, grapes, melon
Meat: pork (in some forms), chicken, beef and turkey

Basically, I like things that aren't 'messed about with', or mixed up together! I'm not really keen on any cold food, although I can force some things down.

What really doesn't help me is that there are foods that I can't eat (give me migraines), eg. cheese, chocolate and oranges, which restricts my choices even more.
Sarah.

Based in the UK. 2-something (2b?) hair. Very porous, fine and brittle/fragile

Hair loves: Drip drying, glycerine, shea butter, oils
Hair hates: Plopping, any kind of gel, most conditioners (scalp issues).

See, plenty of stuff! And there's always something I can find at a restaurant.

A, I couldn't help myself. Deep Sea Angler goodness!

I tease the boy with that photo because he's not a fan of seafood but he tried some Monkfish off of my paella plate I had and he liked it.

Trying new things is good.

I saw them destroy monkfish on Top Chef. That's the weird thing -- I love cooking shows like Top Chef and Iron Chef. The stranger the ingredients, the better. Yes, I'm weird.

I used to an extremely picky eater. But, going to third-world countries and eating whatever was on my plate without asking questions cured me of that! I'll try anything now, and I realized that most of the time I like it. I prefer spicy things though and I don't really care for "home cooking" meals, like meat and potatoes, corn, etc. but I'll eat it.

I am a terribly picky eater. It would be easier for me to list what I do eat than what I don't.

Oh, and I hate goulash. And I'm very picky about the kinds of Chinese food I'll eat.

Miracle Whip is the debbil.

i was picky as a kid; didn't think i was picky now because my sisters are really, really rigid and in comparison, i'm pretty laissez faire about food.

BUT i don't, and won't eat red meat of any kind, only fish and chicken. and i'm lactose and wheat intolerant, so that rules out a lot of stuff that i love, but can't eat. and i don't like raw onions or beer.
3B corkscrews with scatterings of 3A & 3C.
Rye bread with caraway seeds
Hot damn! High five! Those little bas-turds burn my tongue.

The rest of the items I won't ingest (this is incomplete since I haven't tried all foods/drinks & don't have a long enough attention span at the moment to look through all the cobwebs in the brain):

deer
liver
chicken gizzards
heart
bear
squid
steamed shrimp
red wine
salmon
celery, raw with strings attached (cooked is fine)
crab, unless it's in cakes
crawdads/crayfish
frog legs
sushi
veggie juice
buttermilk
mincemeat pie (the real stuff)
...
I did try a chai tea latte from Starbucks, but it's probably so full of milk and sugar any nutritional value was removed.
Almost certainly, but isn't it delicious!
