oh no, i know. i was writing that for cibc because most of the time when people say "wants kids" they mean their own so he knew that, yet still contacts her AND ask her if his 3 kids are an issue ignoring the fact that she said "wants kids"....so that's where my advice to cibc picks up about ignoring the b.s. and asking her if she's okay with that many kids, even if she's generally okay with someone who has kids. wasn't trying to be snarky

i'm online too right now so just very anti-b.s.!!!

Question for match.com users!

Is there a way you can tell if a guy is a paid member and able to read emails? I tend to "wink" at guys that seem interested, and many times, they'll email me back, but sometimes, they just wink...I'd like to know if they're able to receive messages or if I'd be wasting my time by sending one!

CIBC, to my knowledge, there is no way to know whether or not a member is a paid member. It's frustrating...I know!

Sooooo.....it's starting to feel like a relationship: him making plans based on my availability; wanting to drop by during the week to take me to dinner if we're not able to spend the weekends together; speaking of vacations and wanting me there because it wouldn't be a vacation w/o me(insert *awwww*); saying things in the long-term that seem to include me in the equation, etc. It's funny because this situation is the LAST thing I would have expected, and he wouldn't have even been on my radar. At.ALL. From two different worlds, but just happen to have more in common than anyone I've encountered.

It's pretty awesome.

He even wants to meet my pops and take him out to dinner. Yeah. That right there would earn him some points with pops because he LOVES food. LOL! It also shows that he acknowledges and respects the close relationship I have with him. My mom would be harder to get out....and impress. If my pops likes you, then you're good. But if my MOM likes you, then you're REALLY good. She's critical of almost EVERYONE(and with reason).

Feeling like my Jamey-bear is a keeper(that's the nickname I gave him).

He's looking to get a response out of you. A guy who tries to get a response like that... isn't worth it. Could even be a spammer who is phishing.

To answer your question - a guy who isn't going to get a sane date any time in the near future.

You should take it as a compliment that he thinks your profile is "crazy" - probably means he can't understand it, which in turn means it contains at least one three-syllable word and/or creative turn of phrase.

i had to turn down the date last night - i have completely lost my voice.

i am pretty sure i've made over 200 outgoing phone calls at work this past week. and there were another 50 to 100 incoming calls. in the space of 48 hours i went from mild sore throat to Brenda Vaccaro to unable to speak.

Match.com is freaking me out! It's a little overwhelming. I feel like I'm talking to too many guys and can't keep them all straight! Maybe part of me just needed to know I had options...honestly? I'm totally okay being single and it would take somebody really really really special to change that.
