Goddess- good job on Christian boy lol! That sucks your sick tho! I have been fighting Sinuses/cold crap for like 2 months now ugh! And I was kinda worried bout poker last night cuz i have been cramping sooo bad and I never cramp but sat morning and yesterday it was like I wanted to throw up they hurt so bad! But luckily some meds helped, maybe that's why I played so well I was medicated lol!!!!

Hey ladies! So I finally, finally moved on from my ex and signed up for Eharmony on Friday night. I was pretty excited but I've only heard from 3 guys since then even though Eharmony has sent me like 50 matches. I know alot of these guys have looked at my profile so I feel kind of bad that only 3 have even tried to talk to me.
My question is, should I send icebreakers or winks first? Im pretty old fashioned and shy and wait for guys to talk to me in real life so making the first move is completely foreign to me.

Congrats on moving on!! I know it's hard. I also have a little hurt feelings over the profile views and hardly any contact. I've been on okcupid for only about a week and have had tons of profile views, and 5 of them contact me...3 of which were duds right off the bat. But, I am talking to two of the five on a regular basis (the past two days ahahaha). Neither are super good-looking per say, but I'm not a stickler for a super hot guy as they've gotten me in trouble before. One guy even goes to the same university as I do

Good luck! and don't get discouraged. I kinda feel if they looked at my profile, and didn't message me, that means they just can't hang and they need to keep it moving anyway.

and as for making the first move, I do. If I see a guy's profile and like it, I'll message him. You'll never know if you don't so jump in! It's ok to be old fashioned, but don't expect to just sit back and let guys come to you. We can make the effort just as well. You can do it!!

I don't get it...I'm messaging 3 guys at the moment, none of which are physically my type, but super sweet and funny regardless. Not complaining about that at all. But what I don't get is, the guys I've found really attractive and messaged, have ignored me. I see them go to my profile, and they never respond to me. What did they see and not like? Why couldn't they just respond with "you're not my type"...or whatever? :angry:

That sucks! But I know when I get messaged by someone...if they're not my type I don't respond to everyone. I've even read in some guys profiles that they won't be responding to everyone either...in the essence of saving time...it sucks...

So I am trying to be the good little single girl and sow my oats...cause I do want a relationship...maybe marriage some day, but I still feel weird talking to a few guys at once.

So ChristianBoy is still in the picture...but casual cause he has his issues, if I meet someone who will give me what I want I'll cut him loose.

Talking to two on POF, Dimples..and not sure what to call the other one. Been texting Dimples and we have plans next weekend. Gave the other one my number to text also...he seems cool. Plus I think my ex kinda wants to be a contender. He lives in Texas but he'll be down for a visit in the summer. I had a good time when we saw each other on NYE.

CoCo, you will soon learn that in the online dating world, if you are NOT interested in anyone, it is really best to NOT respond at all.

this happens more to women than men, but if you do write back to say "thanks, but no thanks" to some, you will get really, REALLY nasty messages back.

sad, but true.

NO response IS a response - it means "not interested".

Yes,I actually had to tell one guy last night I wasn't interested... He sent me a really sweet compliment, and I didn't want to be rude so I exchanged a few messages, and found out he's 33, no job, lives at home and plays video games. I had to politely inform him I wasn't interested...

My friends and I had this talk tonight that there is nothing wrong with dating/talking to more then 1 until your exclusive, You might find that 1 makes you happier then the other and you wouldn't have known that if u hadn't tried lol.... I understand what u mean with keeping christianboy around for the time and cutting him loose if Some1 else comes along.

I have decided to unhide my profile. Haven't talked to the boy all week, even after all that sweet stuff he said last Sunday and even told me to text him. So we will see..... Hopefully still get an invite to poker Sunday :/

Good luck with unhiding ur profile...I usually get a few more messages every time I unhide. And thanks that makes me feel better...logically I know that if I wanna find love I have to be efficient about it...and one guy at a time could take forever.

U know...I just wanna be in love. I just want a healthy grown up supportive relationship. Every guy that I date and it doesn't work out makes me feel worse...and more empty.

I feel like I may be doing something to sabotage myself. I mean I know I can be shallow to an extent. I have to be attracted and I like what I like. But I have definitely been attracted to guys who weren't my usual type because that had this extra something...I don't know...maybe I'm being unreasonable.
