I don't know about Bobby Kennedy..but I watched the whole thing uninterrupted last night and it was so awesome. I wanted to be there so badly . I wish he'd come to my city.
It was inspiring!

BTW: Where were Bill and Hillary? I'm assuming they weren't there since the cameras didn't go to them at all.

Me thinks it would have been too hard for either of them to keep from without being caught on camera, ala Ted Kennedy at the State of the Union Speech.

The speech itself was understated yet still inspiring. I can only imagine how happy the spirit of MLK Jr. was last night. His line about this campaign being about YOU (America) and not HIM (Obama) was touching. I hope people understood that. I can't remember the last time I believed in or was inspired by a presidential candidate.

I think the media would have been the ones to focust too much on the Clintons, though. There would have been commentary, camera cutaways, analysis of the expressions on their faces, etc.

i do think that Bill and Hill would've stole the thunder had they been there...

the emphasis was on the right person.

i think he'd make a great president for y'all!

i found it to be incredibly inspiring... he even had pat buchanan gushing over him, which has to be a first.

Badgercurls, I love the kitty in your avatar. It reminds me of the cat I had back in high school.

I thought it was very inspiring too. At the risk of sounding totally sappy, I think he captured what can be so great about this country -- what "The American Dream" is really all about -- while at the same time pointing out all the many ways that we've fallen short of nurturing it lately. Plus, there were actual specifics about what we can do differently. Great speech.
