There are so many hilarious comments in this thread I had to bump it up.

We can always use a little funny, right?

Not to long ago, you'd see those in just about every store in Brazil. Although not that many would wear it out on the street...makes you wonder who they were selling it to.

And they'd always try to push a pair on me, to which I'd give them a "Oh hell no!" reaction. But, to be honest, I think they look alright on some people...if it matches they're style. I'm not one of them.

I own harem pants. *Blush* Never thought I'd jump on the trend but why not. I suppose I'm considered the "fashion forward" one of the group, so I will try most anything. But I do own two pairs! One more harem than the other.

OMG that's the best!!! You look like you're about 3 feet tall. Doesn't exactly lend itself to the tall willowy look they push on the runway!

I owned a few pairs of Hammer/knit parachute/harem pants in 89/90'. They had a wrap waist with three decorative buttons and looked more like this

Dropped crotch trousers-imageuploadedbycurltalk1359062892.746727.jpg

I loved those things. The crotch really did not hang down incredibly low. The only true *drop* crotch pants I had were a mistake. My 4-H leader pinned my pattern, for a pair of jams, together backwards. Lol.

And that's the long 80's shorts Jam's, not jam pants.

If they were not bright, busy or ugly... they were not right!!

Ahh, I remember calling those "envelope pants" and I had a few pairs too!

I didn't mean it AT ALL as a dig at Scrills! Those models look really short too, just all around not a good look.

The only reason I can come up with to have all that empty space is that you're supposed to carry your groceries around in there.
