I am so sorry for your loss. My furry child is 10 years old and pretty healthy. Just this year I have noticed that she doesn't seem to see and hear as well as she used to. I worry a lot about when something happens to her especially since she is getting older...

I'm so sorry for you and your family's loss. I'll say prayers for Samson and all of you.

I'm sorry. That is hard. A few of our other childhood pets were buried in the yard. My dad had to dig up their graves and move the bones when the state messed up our yard during freeway construction.

Moving, and the fact that he was just too big to bury, are why we chose to cremate. My last dog was cremated too because we knew we'd be moving in the military. Although we're settled now, there is nowhere to bury a large dog (without uprooting half the yard) and this way they will both go with us if we move.

I wish we had known then we were going to move. If we had he probably would have been cremated. Believe me when our cats die (which won't be for years) I am doing everything in my power to have them cremated, if I am not already out of the house and have the cats with me, which is what I plan on doing and my mom is fine with it.

Hi Curlilocks, I read this back when you posted it but couldn't respond because of my computer issues. I just wanted to tell you that I cried with you as I read your story. You most definitely will see your Samson again, someday. ((((( hugs and lots of love )))))
