Sheets

I heard that if sheets aren't 100% cotton they are scratchy. Which would explain why my sheets are scratchy and hot. Would these sheets be any good? http://www.target.com/220-Thread-Cou...ank&rh=&page=2
After we move into our actual new house all of us kids get to redo our rooms and I want to make sure I don't end up with hot, scratchy sheets.
Cleanser: Liquid Castile Soap diluted in a foaming soap dispenser
Rinse:
ACV rinse
Detangler/Conditioner:
Oyin Handmade Greg Juice or Juices and Berries
Stylers: Botticelli Botanicals Styling Mudd, KCCC, Honey Rinses and BRHG, Crack Leave-in Hair Cream when straightening

Tools: Silk pillowcase, Floursack towels, Jersey T-Shirts, Wide Tooth Comb, Velecta Paramount TGR-VQX Hair Dryer (for when I straighten) and BaByliss PRO Ionic Rollabout Hard Hat Dryer
They look okay. If you're willing to shill out a bit more, their 400 thread count sheets are the bomb. We got my dad and mom a set of 600 thread count sateen sheet set from Target when they were on sale for Christmas. When she put their other sheets on (I think 250 thread count), my dad asked her why she put the sandpaper sheets on. Ha!

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.

No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.

Bamboo sheets are very soft and comfy. I think the ones I have are 300 count.

i recommend the jersey sheets. i LOVE those things! They are uber soft and they keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. i have about 5 pairs for my bed and everytime they are on sale I grab a few for friends and family members. I get the ones from target that are about $30 but i can usuall catch them on sale for about $20

While thread count is important, so is the type of cotton. Egyptian cotton is typically the best while others say Pima cotton is the best. Either way, if you're going with 100% cotton, you want to look at one of those. I just read somewhere that a 300 count Egyptian cotton is better than say a 600 count made from a cheapter cotton.

I really LOVE the Modal sheets. I bought some from Bed Bath and Beyond that were Sateen Modal...and also like $60 for a full set, but Target has them as well. They are worth it. They are soft & cool. Never hot.
Thanks everyone! So the higher the thread count the softer they are? Me and my sister want green (like this color green http://www.target.com/Microfiber-But...978683-7756115 ) a beige-ish white-ish color and brown, but we are pretty much open to anything that we like as long as it isn't lime green or bright orange (and isn't super expensive)! We found one some bedding we like but you have to buy it seperately. I'm still searching to see if I can find something else that is even better. Oh, twin size beds and one is extra long.

Not all high-count sheets are soft, and I am not sure why. I bought two different brands of 440-thread-count sheets from Home Goods, one is soft but the other is not.

I have the bamboo sheets that Suburbanbushbabe mentioned (are yours from Target too, Sub?). They are nice and soft.

I second this, I don't know if I'll ever go back to cotton.

i also have 450 in ivory from Linens 'N Things! they have lots of sales and you can print a coupon from their website for 20% off one item even when they don't have a flyer out with a coupon in it! with the coupon, i think i only paid $30 Cdn for that set of sheets - and it had two sets of pillow cases.

There was another thread about sheets a couple of months ago. Someone was looking for cool (temperature) sheets.

Someone posted that cotton sateen sheets are hot, and I have found that is true with a set I have. They are 400 or 450 thread count and the texture feels nice, but the sateen does tend to be hot. But maybe that is good when the weather gets cool!
