So why do some cats...
like to lick, lick, lick, lick your hand? Does she think she is grooming me? Sometimes I just think she likes the taste of the lotion on my hand. My previous cat did the same thing.

Aww, you taste good!
I have a cat that would lick my lips incessantly at night. I left the lid off my Burt Bee's chap stick one night and she ate the entire tube. I called her vet, and apparently mint is closely related to catnip. She still loves toothpaste.
I think some kitties are groomers... is she or your previous kitty Siamese? They're notorious for licking their people.

Some cats just like to lick more, I think it's a grooming/affection thing.
And I had to get rid of my Burt's Bees lip balm because my cat would NOT leave me alone when I wore it.

My cat likes my nighttime lotion. I've woken up to him licking my cheek.

This is what I've heard, too. Except my cat also licks the window and the condensation on our drink glasses.

Nope, not siamese, just adorable run-of-the-mill kitties. I wonder if they think they are the mother cat?
My other cat likes earwax. I took my earplugs out one morning and she was all over my fingers licking off the earwax. She turns her nose up at lotion.

I think it's a cat thing, they can be given, given, given, but what is FOUND, is oh, so much more tasty.
My cats all drink out of the terlet, it's like nectar of the gods to them.

Much like toys. My youngest girl had all the toys in the world. Why did she drag in, *backwards* through the cat door? A filthy, disgusting, flea-bitten, chewed-on, half of a nerf ball from god knows where.
That was her "binkie" for the first two years of her life. She carried it around everywhere. I'd put it in the washing machine and she would howl and *shake*. Dryer time was a little better, she'd sit there, head spinning round and round, just waiting for it to come out.
I named it "Wilson".

Do any of your cats like to lick plastic? One of my cats loves to do that. It must have some taste she likes but it kind of freaks me out.

Yes, my cat licks grocery bags. It freaks me out too!
My previous cat licked photographs.
I haven't licked these items to see why they taste so good though.

I had a cat that licked plastic bags, all over the house. Meaning she didn't stand on them while doing it, to prevent them from moving.
However, as soon as someone picked up a plastic bag, she hightailed it out of the room & into hiding. She hated the sound obviously.

My calico licks plastic bags and pictures, but she seems to only do it when I'm standing there and she thinks she needs food. It's an annoying sound.
My husband's siamese likes to lick his arm while he's sleeping. I can't stand her licking me, so I'm glad she likes how he tastes... lol

Your kitty loves you My two do it as well, but my girl cat licks more than I have ever seen! She will not stop when she gets in that lovey dovey mood. Another thing, my cats are OBSESSEDDDDDDDDD with my hair ties. I mean, the hunt them out and put them in their food and water dish. I don't know why, other than it smells like me. One of them actually digs them out of my purse. lol He's nosy.
