Default grey dress pants... hmmm.

So what the hell do I wear with grey dress pants? What color shirt/shoes?
I've never owned grey dress pants, and now I don't know what to do with them.

I'm such a black/brown girl. These things look like alien pants hanging in my closet.

help.
why did I buy these stupid pants, anyway?

gah.

btw..they're kind of light/medium grey. NOT dark charcoal grey. I should've bought dark charcoal grey. stupid me.

Black shirt? Any shade of blue? Burgundy? I was sorely tempted to buy a pair of light grey pants, and now I am kicking myself for not doing it.

Black shoes.

Pink goes nice with gray, I would probably do black, because its my favorite color.. Red would go too, white...

Any sort of contrast color, either lighter or darker. Just don't do something in the same shade range or it'll look blah. If your shoes are only black or brown, definitely go with the black shoes for grey. If you have some colors, you can do any of them as long as the coordinate with the rest of your outfit. It is really a neutral, shouldn't be anymore alien than a black or brown, promise.

A white blouse, and really any color shoe(besides brown) with accessories matching the shoe. I just bought a pair of medium gray colored pants, and wore some wine colored pumps and white blouse w/ wine colored accessories(nothing over the top). Red looks good with gray too, and well, you can't go wrong with black. I also wear solid color cardigans with them(wine, yellow, red, plum, black).

I think gray is a color that begs to be livened up. A white or black top will look blah, imo. Go for color! Dark turquoise, violet, red, pink, yellow, rust... Black shoes if you don't have any fun colors to match the top.

On WNTW tonight, there matched grey patterned pants with a pretty blue and white blouse which was a whole different pattern and they looked great together. She had a blue 3/4 length coat over it too.

I wear anything but brown with any shade of grey. As others have said, I don't match with another shade of grey it drains the colour right out of you.

My favourite colours with grey are navy and fuschia. But really any brighter shade you like will work.

Thank you! I was planning on just black shoes with a black shirt. Because I couldn't think of anything else. I don't really do accessories.

I thought about red/fuschia, but then seeing it with black shoes...ick.

What about grey shoes? Like maybe grey suede?

I have pewter (they're not real shiny) that I wear quite often. If I decide on black shoes, I go with my patent peep-toe slingbacks.

If you did red or fuschia (do it! do it! be jazzy!), I personally would do grey shoes. But that's just me.

(and silver jewelry, but that's just me)

I've seen yellow (top) with light gray and it was gorgeous. Orange is nice too.

Definitely, silver jewelry. I love red with gray. This is my favorite combination. The new style today is to not match your shoes with your purse. This is a hard one for me. Wear a red top with the gray pants, black shoes & a red handbag or vice versus. Of course, silver jewelry. You could also wear a black vest or jacket with it.

ok, you people are getting way too technical. I'm just, I don't know...
I hate fashion.
Putting together these stupid little outfits to wear irks the hell out of me.

It's too high maintenance.
I just want to wear hippy clothes.

This is why I am trying to put together a uniform for my work. It stresses me trying to decide what to wear everyday to my job. Fashion should be fun & worn on the weekends.
