We typically go to the Caribbean during the weeks around Thanksgiving and SOs birthday is around that time so I have been buying or doing something then for him. We are not going this year so I have made reservations for an overnight in Boston (priceline'd a hotel - got a good one for about $140 including tax! - the Nine Zero). I just made a reservation at a steakhouse (the man loves steak!). And I have a night set up at the kennel for Casey. I will tell him the night before his birthday to pack a suitcase - we are heading out in the am! I am thinking we will just wander Boston during the day - go up to the North End for lunch - stop into some bars then get ready for dinner. We always have such a good time when we do this type of overnight in the city so I am looking forward to it too! I hope he enjoys it. Oh, I also ordered him a sweater he has been eyeing so that should come in next week so I will give him that too!

Sounds like fun! I always like to plan adventures instead of just regular presents. Memories are better than anything.
