I think she's looking fantastic!!! Compared to all the pulled & filled celebrities she may be showing her age, but certainly not old!
Now hubby on the other hand

to be clear, I think she is hands down one of the best looking women in Hollywood. The first time I saw her in Zorro I remebering whispering out loud as she came on screen "God, she's beautiful" and I don't bandy that word around. 
in this picture though her skin looks awful. It makes her look as if her head doesn't belong on her body. I think I may have to attribute this to a bad makeup job. Plus, she looks tired. maybe that's it.

For years I've seen on-line snarking about her age and rumors that she's older than she claims. Regardless, she's still gorgeous. I didn't look that good at 21, so who cares if she's in her mid to late 40s?

I think she looks great for someone in her late 30's. She hasn't changed her makeup in quite a while and that may be what's aging/dating her.

No one here is saying that older=unattractive, people. She's a gorgeous woman who happens to look older than her stated age. Doesn't make her any less gorgeous.

Well, she isn't 20 and doesn't look 20, but she looks like a very striking 40 year old or so, which she must be by now. I think the elaborate up-done hair and over-tanning in that particular picture do give her a more mature look, but I think in general she is still looking good.

She looks beautiful. I would like to point out that she is under bright lights and flash bulbs, so any shine or imperfection will show up clearly. Also, this picture is not photoshopped to smooth out the imperfections like most of the published red carpet photos are.
The better question to pose here would be why we judge so harshly and put such strict standards of beauty on celebrities, or ourselves, that are simply not realistic?

I think she looks her age, or at least the age she admits to (39). She's always looked more mature than her contemporaries, but not in a wrinkled skin sort of way; more in how she dresses and carries herself.

I think she's always looked older than she was. Looking older doesn't mean looking bad, though. I've always thought she was stunning. But I do think she looks a bit older than 39.

I think it's the tan, honestly, and the half-hearted smile and that color dress isn't the best on her, especially with the tan.
I like her with less makeup too.
I love, love, love her nonetheless; I don't care how old she is or how old she looks.
She had her "double" chin worked on after her first child and but I think she just looks fabulous.
