If You Were a Book Character, Who Would You Be?

probably Elizabeth Bennett.

but only if Darcy looks like Colin Firth!

Little Mother of all the Roaches, President-for-Life of the MAC Harlots!
Claire Fraser.

Although, my age and mannerisms, I'd likely be more like Brianna Fraser. And that's okay, because Roger is a hottie, too.

Richard Parker. Yann Martel's Richard, though, not Poe's.
The tiger? Why is that?
I wondered what he was thinking. Being a tiger, obviously, he was emotionally detached from Pi and everything else. He was all about survival. I feel an odd sort of connection to that.
A cross of two character's.

Jody Jaffe's Natalie Gold - Horse crazy, and very talented rider, Jewish, attracts adonis types somehow. I'm not as insecure as she is, though, and am much more nerdy.

Shelley Freydont's Katie McDonald - A total nerd. She's much more mathematically inclined than I am, though, and I have more verbal skills/people skills.

Both are women who don't quite fit in where they are, and may care - but aren't willing to change to do so. And only really think people who accept them as they are are the ones worth bothering with....

But at least the pews never attend yoga!

Is this only so you could get to sleep with Jamie?

Meliara from Crown Duel (favorite book):

-Stubborn
-Nowhere near as strong as she wants to be
-Brave, for the most part
-Thinks too much (maybe just me)
-Introverted
-Strong relationship with her brother
-Hair similarities
-A bit awkward at times

Or Piemur from the Dragon Song trilogy, but less extroverted.

There are many differences between us, though, as well. I'm sure there are other characters that I'm like, but I can't recall them right off the top of my head.

Now I have to go reread them. =] Nice thread!

In many ways, though not all, probably Claire Fraser from Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series - More than any other one character, anyway. And she has curly hair that sounds like it's about the color of mine!

Oh I forgot to put why I wanted to be Louis.
-Both Louis and Lestat are beautiful
-They're both vampires, Lestat biting Louis(hawt!).
-The setting is durring the Victorian era to modern.
-Lestat and Louis are lovers although in my opinion they could've used intimate scenes between them.

I <3 Cats!
Sookie Stackhouse, for obvious reasons...
HG's: (I alternate)
DEP Sport Gel, B&A Gel, Aura Naturalle Gel
(gel from mid-length down only, all used over a leave in)

Method: Air dry 20 minutes, then blow dry for volume.

2/3 mix waves/curls - coarse, frizz prone, med. thick, porous, at-home color for gray, protein sensitive but I still need it sometimes, glycerin-sensitive (I think) in high humidity, NOT CG but like stuff w/o silicones and that rinses out clean, wash with regular S&C 2x a week.

When I was a kid, I had a huge hardcover flip-book that was Little Women on one side and Little Men (the sequel) on the other. I would read and flip, read and flip, over and over. I really connected with Jo because she loved to write and she taught school and had a house full of children, mostly boys (in Little Men). Those were all things I wanted for myself when I was a girl.

Then, I grew up. I quit teaching elementary school after one painful and disastrous year. I discovered I am a solid writer, but not the creative/novelist type. Finally, I decided I don't have the temperament to be a mother! When I tried reading Little Women a few years ago, I just couldn't connect anymore. I am satisfied with where my path has taken me, but it still makes me a little sad to lose that connection with Jo, because she was so important to me when I was young.

Oh, I had a beautiful volume with both books, which had some great illustrations in between. I loved the more light-hearted fare of Little Men. I don't know that I identified with any of the characters much, only that I couldn't stand Amy and that she ended up with Laurie.

I just finished reading The Catcher in The Rye and Holden Caulfield is probably one of the characters I have ever been most able to identify with.

Leave in: Suave naturals, whichever scent I'm into at the moment

Anyway, I would say I'm a mix of Elizabeth Bennett from P&P, Scarlett O'Hara from GWTW, Meggie from The Thornbirds and Frannie Hunter from Hunger Point!
