for the perfect BLT, you'll need:
a pound of fried bacon
bacon-fried lettuce
bacon-fried tomatoes
bacon-infused mayo
bacon-toasted bread
assemble above ingredients and enjoy. if you did it correctly, your BLT will resemble the beautiful sandwich shown below.

perfect bacon, to me, is when the fat is crisp, and the meat is on the cusp of crisp, with a little bendable action in there. but bacon without any crisp at all is just a crime against nature.

I was still craving bacon today even after having it this weekend for breakfast so I made breakfast for myself this morning. Eggs, bacon, english muffin. I did nuke the bacon because it's a bit less messy and quicker when I just need my fix.

That's a good description and what I had in mind when I voted crispy. Soft bacon, to me, is kind of soggy and has no crunch.

Chicken fried bacon may be what Elvis is eating in H------ (whichever one it is).
After reading and posting on this thread, I baked a package of low sodium Oscar Meyer bacon I had in the fridge (unopened) for about 10 days. It cooked up great and I froze some and am eating the rest. Great thread!
