Exclamation God, I'm Such An Idiot!

So, I decide to take the '65 out for a spin at 6:30 at night. Yep, it's dark & I thought hubby had moved the 2002.

So, I saunter out in my VS comic PJs to take the '65 out for a spin.

I start backing up & then..boom! Ack! I realize that I ran into my other Stang.

The only thing I could tell that part of the plastic cover to the front plate broke off. The 2002 didn't even go off, alarm wise...

So, I take the old Stang out around the block like nothing happened.

We shall see what tomorrow brings.. oy

And, of course, the song that was playing on my iPod was I Touch Myself...haha

Be glad your husband isn't a collision tech! I tagged a deer Thursday night in my truck and he about had kittens. Was out checking the bumper with a flashlight laying on the snow and ice checking the structure.

I doubt you did any damage to the classic, they were built right. Just fess up and beg for forgiveness.

I backed into my son's car last year. The brat had parked behind my garage where he wasn't supposed to be. Oops...

I was just glad it was only a car that I hit when I was so inattentive, instead of a kid or something.

Better than the time I took out the handicap sign in front of the High School Football field, taking my daughter on a Hot Chocolate run during the middle of a 4 inch snow storm. That was last month, that's what I get for cutting cookies and fishtailing on ice.

He called me some names, oh well, I laugh every time I go past that poor little post leaning over and the sign just fluttering in the wind. Now if my daughter hadn't gone in and told EVERYONE on the wrestling team about what her crazy Momma did. Sigh kids and their mouths.

Again didn't hurt the truck, after the other day he said I had better take the d@mn bumper out next time so he can put a ranch hand bumper or a I beam homemade bumper on instead.

This hasn't been my winter, thank god I have a 4x4 Dodge Truck!

Brackets are cheap, I figured it was your newer car. This gives you a good reason to go shopping for a new Valentine's day present.

Ah, my Dad had a beautiful powder blue '65 fully restored Chevy truck that I side-swiped while backing up. I left a nice long dent and scratch in it.

I'm more worried about the fact that you went out in your PJ's. Comic PJ's to boot.

Well now we know the real reason you weren't paying attention!

Glad you just tapped your other car. On the bright side, they're both your cars. There's no one to apologize to.

There's a crack on the front right bumper of the Mercedes and hubby hasn't noticed. Remember the last freak out I had over some ding on the car? Stressful, to say the least. Accidents happen. I don't understand why people get so freaked out over pieces of metal, you know?

this reinforces why I love my back-up camera so much...a luxury I will never again do without!

lol! yeah, but it's always worse for me when it's my own stupidity & not someone else's...
H~ whaddaya mean just a piece of metal? ack
Is this a new mark? Did the other one have to be fixed?

I don't know. While I love my car, I'm not emotionally attached to it. Not that there's anything wrong with being attached to a car.

The other ding didn't get fixed. We'll get it all done when we get rid of it. Right now it's not aesthetically bothersome.

I have come very close to backing into the neighbor's car (garages are back to back in an alleyway set up). If I had not looked at the last second, I would have been paying for someone else's repairs in addition to my own!

I'm glad it wasn't too bad. I'm attached to my car too. I know it's just metal but--well, I am still attached.

A college friend of mine had a 68 convertible Camaro--one day he was talking to me and my roommate and my roommate for tired of hearing him go on about the car. She said,

"So what? It's just a MACHINE!"

His response? "So's a woman." Well, it was a joke, but seeing how he treated women he's dated, somehow I wonder if that attitude was not far from the truth.

Glad there wasn't more damage. I know you felt horrible!

I back the Audi into a flat trailer a friend left in our drive over the weekend. I couldn't see it and forgot it was there, and it didn't crack the bumper, but cut a big gash into it.
