How long does it take dry gas to work?

My car wouldn't start this morning so I called the tow guy. He said that my gas line is most certainly froze and to go get a bottle of dry gas.

Well I did and my car still won't start an hour later. How long does it usually take? My battery is pretty much dead right now because of this ordeal...

It may not work, depending on where the line is frozen. You might need to have it towed somewhere to thaw before it will start.

The time it happened to me, the car didn't turn on until the next day.

I think DryGas is unnecessary nowadays, because there is already so much ethenol in our gasoline. Also, DryGas is a preventive thing...I don't think it works to fix something after the fact. I think you need a second opinion.

I ended up getting it towed to a garage. So far my bill is at $100...I only make $70 a week because my work has been really slow. Guess I will be eating ramen noodles and crackers for the next 3 weeks.
