$70 for an oil change? WTH?

So....at this point...my eyes kinda started glazing over because he starting rambling on and on about things like engine size, cylinders, towing capacity, and something about horse power.
Thanks NCC. This helps. I'm going to ask them about synthetic oil next oil change. I'm sure they won't give it to me for free but maybe we can go in halvesies.

Playing with my hair is a hobby. Fluffy, fine natural 4a. Goal= Healthy, beautiful hair that retains its length.
Hear that crash? It's me falling off the CG wagon.
I pay about $35 at the Firestone place, & they give me a synthetic blend. They tell me to come back after 3k, but I always come back after 5k.

I have a high-mileage car [135,000]. My mechanic has checked off on this approach, says I'm doing ok.
