Toilet paper
Well here's a weird question for you all.
What brand of toilet paper do you use? I hate Charmin because it's too linty. My parents use Scott but to me that's like using wax paper, yuck. We've been using Cottonelle but DH thinks it's too linty too. What do you use?
ETA: See my post #18 for further information on the linty issue.

We use Scott tissue. My parents raised us on it because they hate Charmin and other linty toilet papers.

Scott regular (not the soft version), because I hate dingleberries that soft papers leave behind.

Its not a weird question....my BF and I get into this debate all the time. He's a die hard Northern user....I perfer Angel Soft. For me....northern is too soft and linty. Angel Soft is like the perfect balance of softness without lint.
Oh...and when I'm at my BF's house...I have a tub of flushable wipes in his bathroom (i use them at my house too) but that solves the lint issue for me...lol.

Whatever's cheap. Strange, I was going to post a thread on wiping today.

I prefer Scott or even that stuff from Walgreens...Big Roll or whatever. My sister has teased my like, "Damn, why not just use newspaper." lol But I can't stand that super soft and linty toilet tissue. Seems like I would use a third of one of those rolls in one sitting, because I didn't quite feel like it was doing the job. Ugh. The cheap stuff is good enough for my azz.
ETA: This is OT, but who else gets grossed out by the Charmin commercials with those damned bears? The one were the little bear has little bits of toilet tissue stuck to his azz after wiping with one of the "other" brands afterwards is just too much. Nasty.

I like the Charmin in the red package myself. Please tell me why TP is so expensive? It's like $7+ for 24 rolls.

Cottonelle. Almost every other brand gives me troubles with my lady parts.

I guess I am in the minority here. I like the Charmin Ultra soft, haven't really noticed the linty problem or dingleberries for that matter!
But I agree about the price... when you think about the purpose the cost isn't justified, but I guess the same could be said for tampons!

Well, ha ha, guess I should have explained more...
Two reasons. One - there's always a lot of TP lint/dust on the paper holders when I clean the bath. Two - my DH has had a persistent ear problem. The doctors (he's seen three specialists) thought he had a serious fungal infection on his ear drums and have been treating him with anti-fungal drops since last August. Finally this third doctor did a culture and it just came back negative. Why they didn't do that sooner is a real head scratcher. So the doctor's only thought now is that it's TP from him cleaning the water out of his ears after the shower. Apparently it looks like TP lint and they have no other ideas.
I gave DH a soft cloth to use and want to find a less linty TP so he doesn't just grab TP anyway. He's a HUGE creature of habit.
