Well I'm officially turned off by Terrence Howard now. Ugh. Kimora Lee Simmons and Ray J...don't even know who that is, also released statements that didn't set that well...kind of the same vein as "this is stuff young lovers go through." In their defense, they said it before the pic was released, proving what happened to her went beyond Brown possibly just defending himself.

I agree with you, NCC. He is very young and assuming he hasn't done something like this before and we just never heard about it, I think therapy and rehabilitation would be a better sentence.

She has numerous bruises on both sides of her face. He must have been repeatedly hitting her. Who knows how many other bruises she has on other body parts too. I hope the rumours of her taking him back are false and also that he doesn't go on some talk show sob a bit and get the public support back.

. Yes, but I think she needs to take care of herself first. That's the best thing she can do to be a role model for other girls in this position. That, and not get back with CB.
I agree, but he needs to feel this in the wallet. I hope his sales suffer.

So true. I had a friend whose husband and his four brothers were abused by their father. The four brothers all became abusers, and my friend's husband was actually emotionally abused by HER. I'd never seen a woman so emotionally abusive before I met her.

Oh wow poor thing!
When I heard about it, I heard he choked her and no bruises and/or marks were made and the reason why he went to jail was because she called the cops. Her face looks terrible! (because of the bruises)

Regardless of what environment Chris Brown came from, hitting and beating her up like that isn't OK. Just because you come from an effed environment, doesn't exempt you from doing bad things. He's just as bad as any other criminal, REGARDLESS of his background. He needs some counseling if that is the case. And he still deserves to have his ass in jail. He did a crime, he deserves to be punished.
Poor girl. To have her picture displayed for everyone to see like that...that must be awful for her. I hope she doesn't go crawling back to him after this.

Yes, and what Mrs. Poppers said too. I thought he hit her once and that was it. Noooo, he beat her up. And he hit her hard.
I find it hard to believe he's never done this before to Rihanna or other women possibly. Maybe it was never this bad before.

And just think , that pic was taken almost immediately after the attack. Can you imagine how she looked later on, once the bruises surfaced and her eyes swelled?
As for his career being over.......I don't know. R.Kelly was on trial for child molestation, and while he wasn't charged, he has a known history of being predatory, and his career wasn't affected at all. But I think because Chris was being marketed as this somewhat squeeky clean performer that it'll take some time.
He needs counseling and rehabilitation. They both do. I don't think jail will do him any good. He's still a teenager whom was also a victim of abuse. He should have gotten help YEARS ago because it's possible that had he gotten help, *maybe* this wouldn't have happened.

I think she means originally, she had thought he had only gone to jail because the police had been called, not because Rianna had really been hurt.

Actually....now that I think of it, if my husband gave me an STD without telling me he had one I would try to find a way to castrate him. 
When I was young, our next door neighbor's husband gave her herpes. And he was laughing about it!!!!!
This is why couples that plan on being active should get tested together.
