What indoor temperature do you prefer?

At what indoor temperature are you happiest?

At what actual temp do you keep your house/apartment?

Me, I'm happiest in the winter at 74 but we keep it at 72. In the summer I'm happiest at 70 but we keep the air on at 75. I hate humidity.

I like it in the 70's as well I get cold easily!

Like 75-78. Year-round, LOL!

I hate being cold.

When we lived in WI, my mom would keep the thermostat in the freakin' 50s. During the winter! And we had radiators, not central heat! Crazy woman!

I am the happiest in the winter at 72ish. I keep my heat on 68 though. Summer I am happiest at 70 and usually keep it around 74. Apparently the gas companies say you should keep heat in winter on 68 and air on in summer at 78 to keep your bill down.
Optimally, I like 70-72. I keep my house at around 68 in winter, and 74 in summer.
70-ish. My thermostat's not the most sensitive so I'm not sure of the exact temperature. I like it cooler when I go to bed, I set the thermostat for 60- 65.

I keep mine at about 79. At work my boss has a fit if it's over 70, so I have a little electric heater near me running all day.

BTW we do turn our heat down at night in the winter. Neither of us like to sleep hot.

Even when the thermostat is on 65-68, I sleep with three blankets. And God forbid, my leg or arm accidentally leaves my comforter-fort...it takes me forever to get warm enough to fall back asleep.

I don't have to wear it, but I have to have it with me.
Ignoring cost and my husband's objections, I'd probably keep the house at 75-78 all the time.

In reality, we keep the house about 66 in the winter and about 80, 82 in the summer. In Maryland there's usually only a few days of obscene, over 100 days (though most all hot days are humid days here), and those are the only ones we run the whole-house AC for. Otherwise, we haev a window unit in out bedroom. We set it on "medium".

We do not have central air so in the summer it's whatever the temp is outside (we have a window a/c in the bedroom though and I run it as cold as it will get).

I like it cooler - so we keep it around 66 downstairs and 62 upstairs in the winter.

winter - thermostat set at 68 when I'm home, 62 at night I think.

summer - we don't have AC either, so it gets way too hot upstairs (bedrooms are up). We installed all double-paned windows and a new metal roof, so hopefully it won't get too hot. If it does, we may get AC. Ideally, I'd like indoor temps to be 78 in the summer.

In the winter, about 65 when not at home, 67 or 68 when I'm there during waking hours and about 62 to sleep - the heat dries me out too much any higher. When I'm up, I'd rather put on a sweater or robe and socks or use a throw.

In the summer, 78 during the day when I'm not home, 75 when I'm there during waking hours and 68-70 at night - hot flashes and night sweats! Can we say picky, LOL?! I have a lot more reasonable power and gas bills than any of my friends and neighbors, though.
