I loved that too! I knew Kate would win it. I love that woman. I saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind again this weekend and I think she's brillant.

And of course, Sean Penn is on his soapbox. That man has a passion.

god.. I am going to be a zombie tomorrow at work. Why do I always stay up for these things!!!
Quick Bits.. Most already mentioned!!
love the way they are giving out the top acting awards ITA that it makes it so much more personal. and even though Anne didn't win she looked humbled when she was given the kudos by Shirley!
Hugh Jackman rocked!! I hope he does it again next year!!!!
also my best dressed award goes to Amy Adams as well.. love the dress loved the necklace (which I know was already mentioned)
Worst Hair: sorry Jennifer Aniston, loved the dress on you but someone needed to do her hair nicer.. but I loved the rock (is that an engagement ring I saw?)
okay.. going to collapse now!!!!
PS: Robin Roberts looked awesome on the Red Carpet I thought too!!!!

I meant to mention earlier - Bill Maher was such a jerk. He used his role as presenter to advertise his own film.

Why wasn't Heath Ledger in the En Memorium film? What if he hadn't won the Oscar? I think it's pretty tacky that he was left out.
I'm glad poor Kate Winslet finally won an Oscar.
Yeah, Bill Maher was lame. He seemed pretty bitter about not getting nominated and it was uncomfortable to watch.
And Hugh Jackman was great! He was very funny and the singing and dancing were so fun to watch. And yes, I also LOL'd when he sang, "I am Wolverine!" Classic.

He passed away before last year's ceremony. I think he was the last one shown in 2008's Memoriam.

Ah, that explains it then. I knew he passed early last year, but I didn't think it was before Oscar season.

I thought her dress was pretty, but she looked so weird. WAY too much makeup and her hair didn't look natural at all.

I know I'm probably the only one who hated that, but I really did. I love seeing the clips from the films, I love seeing the little "reminders" of why they were nominated. I already griped about it on page one, but it really bugged me, LOL!
Love Sean Penn's speech, and LOVED Kate Winslet getting her dad to whistle so she could find him in the crowd. Best part of the evening, to me.

I thought that was one of the best Oscars in years.
The guy that won for best animated short(I think it was...)
Best.Acceptance.Speech.Ever.
Ben Stiller-hilarious.
Beyonce and that musical number-fantastic.
Seth and James-funny.
I liked it-I was entertained.

Kanye West does this too (well, whines about not being nominated when he's presenting). It's so tacky.
