I did have a big love affair with "snoods" in the 80's. I'd french braid it and put the excess in a snood. I loved the ones with big bows or fake flowers:

Big Shoulder pads and even bigger boobs.... talk about looking like a linebacker, lol.

Ah, fabric covered banana clips, my sister had one in every color! I could never get my hair in the ones with fabric for some reason. She also had regular clips with bows of every color and pattern!

Oh no! Not the bow barettes! I remember my mom putting those huge ones in my hair. They were even bigger than my feathered bangs!
