I have around 80 - too many!! It's a good variety of everything, boots, sneakers, sandals, casual, dress.... I really need to bring some to goodwill because it's getting ridiculous!

I have a problem.

I am so telling my husband about this thread. I have 14, 15 at most, and he complains that I have too many shoes. I tell him I don't have enough. Sure, I have 5 pairs of 3" or higher heeled boots, but I still believe you can't have too many boots.
The one things I could do is get rid of 2 pairs of gym shoes. I have four: 1 for garden work, 2 for working out, and one I use as slippers.

Yay! Lots of other shoe addicts!!!
I have mostly heels or wedges with a few pair of sensible ones thrown in. Plus tons of boots and a few pairs of running/exercise shoes.
Last count was 103 in November. But I've bought a few since then - 5 I think?

Last year I tried to download the number to 50, I donated a lot, but still couldn't.

I'm hoovering around 100 pairs.....and I think I've broken that since I've been in TX...because I've racked up in the past 5 months (i tend to shop when I'm bored, stress, and breathing). I didn't own any flats and I now have a nice assortment of them (which is all i've been wearing lately)
I need a 12 step program. Someone help me

WOW, we have a few serious Imelda Markoses here!!! I barely have room for the shoes I do own, much less 80- 100+. If there's one good thing to be said about living in a small apartment- at least it stops you from accumulating so much stuff.
I once read that some royal woman (I'm thinking it might have been Marie Antoinette) had a maid who was employed solely to maintain the shoe closet!!!

ohhhh, I just counted - 105 pairs of shoes!
My husband did affectionately call me Imelda (Marcos) when we first met.
One of the reasons I love shoes so much is the fact that a good pair can last for years if they are taken care of properly. Your weight can fluctuate and wreak havoc with your clothing, but shoe size does not tend to fluctuate as wildly. Although my shoe size did increase a half-size with both pregnancies, but I don't know whether that's normal?!?

I'm in the process of looking at new houses...and I've decided that I'm taking one of the bedrooms and turning it into a dressing room/closet. I wanted shelves built into 1 or 2 walls (similar to those) for my shoes...but this seems like a MUCH cheaper alternative (those are book shelves right?)

Yeah. I acquired the most shoes when I was 30lbs overweight. Since quality shoes keep forever (especially if you are not wearing them all the time), I still have all of those shoes plus more recent ones. I buy way more clothes now that I am happier with my weight than shoes. Still have too much of both though.. Those in the "100+-club" are brave for posting exact numbers
