Do you think you look like a celeb when you so clearly don't?
It cracks me up that I kinda grew up thinking that I looked like Tootie from Facts of life when it's clear that I so don't. Yet for some reason in my mind when people would try and figure out what celeb you look like, Tootie always jumped to my mind for me.
Maybe it's because she was one of the few black girls on tv at the time. I don't know, but even now if I see picture of her as an adult and I still gravitate to her as my Celeb look alike and I know she's so not. I was probably closer to looking like Dee from What's Happening
Has this happened to anyone else? Identifying with a look-alike that's totally off.
EDITED: looking at them now, they don't look that much different. Maybe I wasn't all that off.

Mariah Carey
At least I always hoped it was true because one of my ex-boyfriends would always tell me that she reminded him of me. Not very accurate, and even less so today. Maybe when I was younger it was more believable, but between aging and whatever "changes" she has made to herself, there's no longer a resemblence, other than we both have really, really pale skin for being women of color. I think he just said that because we are both very light-skinned and have similar facial structures. But, I could only dream of being that beautiful.
For a short time I thought maybe I was a more of a combination of Janet Jackson and MC. I still think I was kidding myself!

I don't look like any celebs now. But growing up I always thought I looked like Alyssa Milano, and was often told that. Looking at pictures - not at ALL! (And I'm totally posting this pic so you can laugh at my uncle's mustache.)

I don't think I look like any celebs, but I've been told I look a little like a young Stevie Nicks. Lately, I've been told by one of you (can't remember who it was now) that I look a little like a young Carrie Fisher.

When I was in high school, I thought I looked like the Noxema girl (Rebecca Gayheart) even though I outweighed her by at least 25 lbs and her curls were tighter. I was so envious of her hair, I hung up the cover of Sassy magazine when she was featured in my room so I could look at it and try to make my hair look more like hers. I cannot believe I admitted that.

I want to say I look like Alicia Keys. And in my mind, I do.

My freshman year of college, I got the "noxema girl" comparison everywhere I went. But then Felicity came out and I had a new "look alike."

I don't know if any of you know this or not, but you can go to http://www.myheritage.com/face-recognition and upload a photo of yourself and it will give you a list of celebrities you look like. I spent almost an entire saturday morning doing this one time. With different photos you get different results.

I have an ex-bf who told me I look like Elisha Cuthbert, when to me, I so very clearly don't. Blonde hair, that's about it. Tho I do wish I did. She's hot.

I used to think I looked like Penelope Cruz when she first came on the scene. But looking at pics, I really don't think so, except for maybe the nose (and it appears she's had a nose job recently). I don't think I look like any celebs. I rarely get told I look like anyone, and when I do it's usually someone that has dark eyes and hair but looks nothing like me otherwise: Marisa Tomei, Katie Holmes, Maria Menudos.
Keep in mind, I'm not used to taking pictures, esp. of myself. I got a digital camera for Christmas and am still intimidated by it.

In HS, someone told me that I looked like Elizabeth Shue from Adventures in Babysitting, and I guess I think I kinda did look like her.
Other than that...nope.
I had a friend that looked EXACTLY like Shirley Temple. I remember going over to her house once and there was this HUGE picture above her bed. I was like, 'Why do you have a big picture of Shirley Temple in your room?' She goes, 'That's not Shirley Temple, that's me.' To this day, I remember that picture.
