Default Are aviators the coolest sunglasses ever?

I used to think aviators were kinda... meh. But something happened to me in the last few weeks and I've fallen in love with them and have been on a quest to find a pair. I don't know what's come over me. Fearing that this was one of "those phases" I go through where I'm all about something and then it peters out, I've kept myself from dropping a bundle on a pair, but I finally bought one two days ago and am completely in love with them. Have I gone nuts? Are they completely seventies dork or are the millenial cool?

I don't care, I absolutely love mine!

I personally don't like them at all, but you are the one wearing them. It took me a while to start liking the big frames, but I found a pair that fit my face shape and I love them.

I didn't even know what they were, until you said Top Gun...LOL. Personally, I haven't been one to follow brand-names...I'm assuming this is a brand name (and not just a description of the shape of the glasses)? I tend to go for the cheapy sunglasses. They seem to last longer and they don't get lost as easily. Brand name ones tend to get lost or broken easier...I don't know why. Murphy's Law I guess.

Knew there was a reason I liked you. We can be cool aviator-wearing curlies together. Anyone else want to join the club?

because I can be a dork at times, here's a link to the aviator's history.

Everytime I read an article about what shape sunglasses you should get according to the shape of your face it says that my type of face (heart shaped) should get them. Honestly I've found them in small, medium, and large sizes. I usually go for medium. I have a big head LOL and these glasses make my head look smaller. I like them lot. So I guess that make me a dork too.

FC, if anyone can pull off the '70s mod aviators, it's you! Wear them with pride...but I won't be joining you.

I don't really care for them. They were a total hipster thing for a while here, and ended up getting pretty much played out. But regardless of that, I was never crazy about them.

Yes they are the coolest ever. I love my aviators! I think they can give you a really classic sort of B.A. look if you have the face for them. My favorite pair which broke just a few months ago had completely reflective lenses that were silver with silver frames. Got them from Forever21 and everyone told me I looked like a state trooper. Loved them! I'm still looking for the perfect replacement pair. But I'm also a huge sucker for big sunglasses. Heck, I just love sunglasses!

Aviators are classics! They'll never go completely out of style, IMO.

I don't think of Top Gun, I think of Angelina Jolie. She wore aviators for awhile.

I can't wear them because they have those nose thingies that get stuck in my hair. I have to have glasses that I can wear on my head.

I have a heart-shaped face, but it's quite possibly the teeniest tiniest face in the world. I tried on a pair at the mall and between my curls and the sunglasses, I was swallowed up.

I do wish I could wear aviators though. They're very cool.
