Default Fl. Keys

I'm thinking of a weekend getaway to the keys...maybe islemorada or marathon. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to stay. I just want some R&R. TIA

I used to stay at Cheeca Lodge at least once a year while growing up.

Years ago I stayed at a Marriott, that was nice.

I could give you suggestions on restaurants and things to do if you want

Cheeca Lodge looked open when we drove past it in December. Are you sure it didn't re-open? I didn't even know about the fire.

What about Ocean Reef? I think you can stay in their hotel without being a member (though I could be wrong).

The keys isn't known for great beaches. Have you considered going to the West Coast for a nice beach? Naples or Bonita Springs/Estero area both have great beaches.

When I went to their website, it said it was closed due to a fire in Dec..I have to recheck it. I may end up going to the west coast...I heard the Outrigger in Ft Meyers was nice.

My husband and I stayed at the Kona Kai in Key Largo for our 20th anniversary several years ago. It was fabulous! http://www.konakairesort.com/

It has its own private beach. It's a tiny place, very quiet, but lovely. I don't think they had a restaurant on site, but we had a car and just drove to some that were nearby.
