What could that be?

Like, you get dizzy right after you sit down or move or something?
Or are you sitting perfectly still and get randomly dizzy?

Could be a million things.
Have you eaten today?
Maybe you have some fluid in your ears?
Sometimes when the seasons are changing, I get dizzy.. it lasts for about a day and then it goes away.

This is just like anything else... it is probably nothing and will eventually go away...
OR it will continue and you will have to see someone about it. The result of that could be what you thought all along: this is a problem that could be fixed very easily.. meds may help.
OR it could be something more serious.
I suggest that you keep an eye on it and if it continues or gets worse, then you should see someone.
And of course, if the dizziness is that bad, you probably shouldn't drive.

I'll also add....
My sister suffers from a inner ear thing.. she can't look up without getting dizzy. She can't drive in the backseat of a car... She's been to specialists.. there's not much she can do for it. The inner ear is a very funny thing. I think the wise thing to do is, if this continues... rule out the big stuff and go from there.

Thanks, all (or most).
It happened after I ate. It was randomly throughout the day, while sitting and laying down (while I've been sitting a while). It's worse when I stand up though.
It could be allergies, and ear thing as someone said. Maybe even anxiety?

Double ouch?
To the OP, are you having trouble speaking? Are your motor skills off (ie. did you have trouble typing your post)? Seizures? Is your vision blurry? Do you have unusual sensations in your hands and feet? No? Then it is not a tumor.
I'm guessing you may need to get your ears checked. You could have fluid buildup or hearing loss. You said it was worse when you stand up, thats because your blood pressure dropped when you stood up (probably too fast)

No seizures. My vision has been a tad blurry lately, but I think I keep getting makeup in my eyes. And funny (well, not really), I was having trouble typing. But I think it was minor and I'm an awful typist in general. No matter how many times I tried to type a 2, I hit Z. Weird! They're nowhere near each other! But other than that, my fingers are working about as well as usual.

Dude. Just go to the doctor if you're concerned. Most likely it has to do with your ears and fluid/allergies.
I get dizzy whilst sitting down all the time in the spring and the fall - all allergy related. My doc gives me Nasonex and it works a treat - no more dizziness, sitting down or otherwise.

You guys can't possibly think that my brain tumor comment was serious.
CALL A DOCTOR if you are concerned.
I am wondering what you will do or what will happen if you DO ever get a serious illness.

Although it is a stretch, you can have a tumor without those symptoms. If it next on the vestibulocochlear nerve, it could effect balance.
It's probably allergies or an ear infection, but you should go get it checked out.
Do you hear a roaring noise in your ears? If so, you may want to look into Meniere's Syndrome. It is known for episodic vertigo, but you usually have a tenitis too.

I've mentioned this before, but I thought I ought to bring up a harmless cause of dizziness to offset the brain tumor idea....I had to take my dad to the ER a few years ago because he was very dizzy and thought his pacemaker was giving out. It turned out to be ear wax.
So, my message is don't panic, but if it persists, go get it checked out.

No! But I understand Kimshi's anxiety over her health. I'm that way all the time. When my wisdom teeth were hurting, I thought my jaw was coming out. Then my dad tells me I have tetanus and may never be able to eat again making my anxiety worse. I guess its just not nice

I'm not sure what you mean or where exactly you're coming from on this, but of course I'll call a doctor if I get concerned. Did I express an inordinate amount of concern or panic here? Did I act as if the boardies can diagnose me? I'm consulting you all because we have such variety of people that perhaps someone has also experienced this and can tell me what they did to alleviate it.
And I have had serious illnesses, the most serious of which was Prolonged QT (a heart condition). And when I was concerned, guess what I did...went to the doctor.

I guess that if I have something going on that isn't usual and I am concerned for my health, I don't rely on the "plethora of experience" here at nc.com...I call a paid professional aka doctor.
I guess I just don't get the "What could be wrong with me?" posts. If you want to know what's wrong, go to a doctor, after all, they are the ones who will properly diagnose you...not anyone here.

Just another example of how we have very different ways of thinking.

I agree. With something like dizziness (hey, I just posted about a similar thing, after all) that has SO many different possibilities, it's nice to hear other people's experiences. Call me crazy, but I like to know I'm not making a huge deal out of nothing by going to the doctor at the first sign of a sniffle.
I know we're not alone in this though. There are WAY too many 'symptom checkers' and sites like WebMD for us to be few and far between.
I DID end up going to the doctor about the dizziness, but only because it continued longer than a week. Turned out to be (most likely) nothing, but if I hadn't had my mother and the curlies here to bounce ideas off of, I'd have been a panic-y mess about it.
To each their own, I guess, but I don't think you're making a big out of nothing, Phoenix, nor do I think your first instinct should be to go to the doctor if you're mildly concerned.
