What?? NO * ER * Thread? Spoilers!

I can't be the only one that watched!

What did everyone think?

I was bummed that Doug and Carol never found out that it was Carter that was getting the kidney... but then I realized that's the way it was supposed to be. And how cool was it that they were instrumental in saving him.
Benton was his usual annoying self. I actually yelled at the tv for him to stop with his 'list' in the OR.

All in all.. great episode.

Only 2 more left!

Benton might've been annoying, but I loved how the writers still had him in the role as hard-ass teacher and his teaching saved Carter's life.

I also loved how Carol and Doug were still together and very much in love after all those years (didn't lover her hair, though).

I think that because everyone was brought back for just one episode, there would have been too much catching up on storylines for just 45 minutes of television. So they created parallel storylines that connected in some way. Carol, Doug and Benton all came together to save Carter's life.

The writing was perfect. I don't now if it was nostalgia, but I was so much more emotionally invested in the old ER cast.
^^^ you're right, i think the writing was better - the characters were more richly defined...

You're so lucky to be watching it. They show it so haphazardly over here it drives me up the wall. On again, off again, all the time. Abby and Luka just got married here, sooo far behind!
3b in South Australia.
I was sad that they ruined the surprise of having George Clooney when they put his name at the beginning as a guest star.

I have however loved every episode this year especially this one. I'm going to miss ER.
What's the name of that episode? Is Carter ok in the end?
Yes, my tail is naturally curly.
No, it was NOT me who cried 'wee wee wee wee wee' all the way home.
I believe the name of the episode was
Old Times... or something like that.

NBC.com probably has the episode up...
and there's always Surf The Channel . com

I ADORE how they've been bringing the old characters back this season. I think it's a wonderful gift for the fans. Mark Greene, Romano, Weaver, Jerry (but then he came back for real), Ray (I had always wondered how he was, so it was great to see him!), Elizabeth, Morgenstern, Carter, Carol, Doug and Benton.

I was a little bummed that Carol and Doug never knew that the kidney was for Carter, but they shouldn't, right? It was a little bittersweet when Doug was talking to Neela and Sam, just about everyone from Doug's day is no longer at County.

VERY well done.
