Default How much should I tip the movers?

They are moving my stuff 4 hours away. I don't have that much for them to move and there aren't any stairs involved. It will probably take these 2 men an hour for them to pack, and and hour to unpack the truck. It's costing around 600.00.

Ehh, nothing.

They are paid to do their job. Moving is their job.

we didn't tip cash. we gave them icy cold drinks and a snack. we moved in the heat of a very hot, dry summer. they seemed to appreciate our gesture.

My frame of reference is skewed, as the last time we moved it took a team of 6 guys about 18 hours to move all our stuff...and that was with having the packers come the day before. In your case, since it's a light load, I think maybe $20 each would be enough. A cold drink and snacks is not a tip, it's simply good manners.

Exactly. When I moved, I tipped each guy $20 (there were three of them), and since it was a morning move, I got them orange juice and some donuts.

I think we gave ours $20 each. That was about 2.5 years ago.
