HA. Maybe he and Kat will pull out a surprise duet

Have you ever heard the Cranberries version of that? It's hilarious!

OMG, NO!!! And I used to totally LOVE the Cranberries!!

Well, you and I just need to start our own durned chatroom since we're the only people talking about this. I wonder if anyone else is watching. Well, maybe they are REALLY watching instead of chatting on the computer.

I don't like Kat's single. She was off and it sounds too much like Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment Like This".

She has nice eyebrows.

And I really like the dress.

And, you know, the song really started out well.

But man did things go downhill right before the gospel choir popped out.

I can't watch AI since I have to watch Stephen King's Desperation, so thanks gals for keeping me updated.

Since Chris is out, I vote Kat.

Grey Charles looks and sounds too much like the Wedding Singer (or as Simon said, the drunk Dad singing at the wedding).

HA!

Sky, you definitely have a point. I think Kat has much better potential for commercial success... and I truly think she could have a lovely, lovely voice with a little bit of help.

I am curious to know how the 33% of votes that went to Chris will be split -- I have a hard time imagining that Kat would take those over Taylor?

How old is Taylor, btw?

Ish, I did not like that at all.

I really do not understand why every single released has to end with a soul choir.

I also didn't get the weird head turning thing toward the end...sounded like he was singing into a fan.

I predict Grey Charles and The Ticks will get them, and win.

These gospel choirs always seem to eclipse and overpower the singer.

And what is up with her 10 bajillion necklaces?

Does anybody know if something really is wrong with Paula? She always seems crazy to me.

I'm pretty sure Paula has a flask under the judge table.

Those singles were awful, IMO. And Kat was hurting my ears at the end of hers. I actually felt kinda bad for her. And by the time Taylor got to his single, I found it hard to pay attention. I MISS MY TUESDAY NIGHTS W/ ELLIOTT!

Didn't care for Kat's single. The judges were WAY nicer than I would have been. When she sang in a lower key, she wasn't on pitch(flat). Then she hit that major bum note. I cringed when I heard it, and I think she knew that that wasn't her best perfomance or even if it was good enough considering it was the finals. I don't know if it was her nerves or what, but that performance was disappointing. I guess when the judges (particularly Simon), says that both of them were even at that point, that could put some added pressure on you.

Taylor's song was much better, and he performed his single better than Kat. Both songs sucked, but I think he may have won this. I've been trying to call, and ALL circuits are busy.

I voted for Taylor (my first time voting for an idol ever). I'm not even that big of a fan of the show, but I had to vote tonite cuz so many people have said they don't like Taylor just because of his grey hair. And of course I have grey hair so I have to stick up for my own 'kind'!
And I also voted for him to make my sister happy.

Katharine's "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" was beautiful, as it was last week. I have a feeling that she has performed that song many times before. But the first song was just a dumb choice (it has like a 5-note range and just a bunch of stupid "woo-hoos" -- it doesn't exactly show vocal prowess) and on her last song she sounded awful. The song sucked but mostly she sounded terrible singing it. You could tell Simon thought it was horrible but he didn't want to slam her.

Taylor's first performance was great, second ok, third pretty good considering the crappy material. Seriously, why can't they get better writers for the winners' singles? The songs are always pieces of crap.

I will be surprised if Taylor doesn't win. I think he is the clear fan favorite (and will pick up the bulk of Elliott's votes) but for some reason, the producers seem to loooove Katharine. I would think that her singing on the final song should have shown them definitively that she is not their next Kelly Clarkson.

Let's look at the bright side, if Katharine wins, she can hire a real stylist. That dress she was wearing was the wrong color and it was showed every imperfection (the teal one). But that girl is beautiful.

Who sings the Black Horse Cherry Tree song? I like it.

Ok, Kat is lovely (I just watched the first performance), but she dances a lot like Celine Dion, who I think is just about the worst stage performer out there.
