You know, now that I think about it, I might request the series from the library. Watching it always makes me happy.

Me, too! It also makes me think of Christmas. I have memories of watching it in our living room with the Christmas tree up...and it was on PBS...and Megan Follows kept coming on during the breaks to request donations!

I saw it first in winter, too. I was all snug and cozy on the couch in my apartment, with my first dog nearby.......very happy memories.

So Jealous!

My sister and I used to sit around afternoons drinking tea and watching this on PBS (which would take HOURS due to the solicitation breaks). Good times.

Megan Follows was on a recent episode of Brothers and Sisters. I got wicked excited!

Try to rent the 20th anniversary edition!!! It's so great. And I love the commentary...especially about how it was Jonathan's first movie and he was nervous and how much he depended on Megan.

And Gilbert and Anne's deleted wedding night scene is on there...not sure what the big deal was...they were married!!!!

I remember reading Anne of Green Gables. I also remember watching Road To Avonlea, which had a few characters from Anne of Green Gables.

count me in on the "kindred spirit" brigade!! I always hoped that they would have continued the story with Emmeline Harris.. where she ended up in life..

We should start a trivia game and she how many questions and answers we can come up with and who can stump who?? I think it would be fun!!

I looked through everything; they only have it on videocassette, and no anniversary edition, either.

Hmm... I know she wanted to name it the Zephyr because but I can't remember what it was originally...

ETA: HAHA! I remember It was the Minstral, but she suggested the Zephyr bc it meant a more pleasant wind or something.

Uuuuum, what was the name of the award Anne won in school, though she thought Gilbert had beaten her?

I'm sitting here talking to myself trying to remember..."Three cheers for Anne Shirley winner of the Avery!"

I THINK.

But Gilbert wins first and the boys have him on their shoulders, and Anne's all disappointed, and then they see her and go, "Three cheers for Anne Shirley, winner of the Avery!" And they pick her up.

yep yep yep I think Gilbert won... um... well, they called him a Medalist, I think? I dunno what that means, exactly. But Anne won the Avery *nod*

This is hard!

I need a refresher-viewing before I play.
